Use

Dona bath foam is a lovely scented addition for plain old bath water to add bubbles to your relaxation. It is supposed to be infused with an aphrodisiac, which helps get you "in the mood". It is also listed as shower gel, though they sell body wash so I don't understand the reason to list this as such. I haven't used it for shower gel, only a bubble bath. You can pour a couple cap fulls in for yourself to make a relaxing, sudsy bath and you can also bring your partner along if possible. Due to the scent, this is marketed toward females, and I doubt a male would take a dip in it other than to have some fun with his woman.

You can use it anytime, whether you're doing it to set the mood, to relax after a stressful day or just because you love bubble baths.

Those with allergies and women prone to yeast infections may want to read the ingredients. It may be fine to use bubble bath occasionally, but if you get yeast infections often, it's not a good thing to use this on a daily basis.

Ingredients:
Purified Water (Aqua), Sodium C 14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Lycium Barbarum (Goji) berry, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed, Euterpe Oleracea (Açaí) Fruit, Morinda Citrifolia (Noni) Fruit, Punica Granatum (Pomegranate) Fruit, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf, Garcinia Mangostana (Mangosteen) Pericarp Extracts, Propanediol, Xanthan Gum, Citric Acid, Guar Gum, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazone, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The consistency of the bath foam seems to be pretty similar to other bubble bath products I have. It's thick, like a syrup, so to speak. It runs, though not quickly like water, a bit slower and thicker. It does feel sticky when coming out of bottle, but it doesn't leave your skin feeling sticky once mixed in with your bath water. Once mixed with the water, it feels like normal soap suds and leaves your skin feeling smooth and lightly scented. It hasn't ever left the floor of my bathtub slippery like some products do.

Taste / Aroma

I have tried several scents of the bath foam, the one I'm reviewing is the Acai. Right out of the bottle, the scent it noticeable, to me it smells fruity, like a berry scent. I've never smelled a real acai berry, so I can't say that it smells like the real thing or not. There is also a floral scent, though not enough to over power. Usually floral scents give me headaches, but I found this to balance out well and not bother me. I can actually relax in the water without sneezing! The scent isn't super strong to begin with; it won't smell the whole bathroom up. I've laid in a bath for an hour and noticed the scent to fade, though it could still be detected on my washcloth and very subtly on my skin.

Performance

Pour a couple (or more if you desire) into a tub of running water. I like to pour it directly into the stream of water coming out of the faucet. It will start to foam up and create bubbles. The amount of foam depends upon how much of the product you put into the water. I love to relax in bubbles but found myself draining a bit of water and adding some more after about 15 minuets. I've had products that lasted slightly longer that I paid less for.

After the bubbles fade, the scent is still lightly noticeable, though if you don't use the matching lotion and/or perfume gel, it won't be detected. My skin felt soft and hydrated after using.

One thing that I noticed is that it makes my hair feel greasy after use. Even after I turn the shower on to shampoo my hair, it still feels that way. I found that shampooing twice helps that feeling go away, but sometimes my hair doesn't feel completely "normal" to me until I shower the next day. I don't really know a proper way to describe it other than that, I can just tell and I don't like how it feels so I HAVE to shampoo in clean water without it after soaking. Using a shower cap prevents that issue. But it's not just Dona, there are several others that do this as well. It could be that I have a ton of hair and it absorbs like a sponge, but I don't know?

Packaging

The label is classy and girly. It's something that can be left out for others to see. The ingredients and directions are listed on the bottle.
Follow-up commentary
This is bubble bath to get clean with. Edenfantasys is a dirty company. This stuff won't get it clean. Don't shop here!

Great review! I have to stay away from this kind of stuff because my skin is overly sensitive but this sounds nice scent wise, thanks for sharing your review

I have very sensitive skin as well, but as long as I don't use this stuff every day, then I can do it without any irritation "down there". I can't use the Blue Lotus scent at all, it bothers my allergies!

Thinking about it, I don't know that I've smelled a real acai berry either! I've had them in smoothies, but I don't think that I've ever handled a fresh one. Thanks for reviewing!

Thanks for the info! I really want to order some of this line, especially with the current sale on three items, but I'm hesitant because the different scents are getting mixed reviews. Which fragrance is your favorite, and do you prefer fruity or floral scents?
  • Contributor: Zombirella
I can't do floral scents because it messes with my allergies. I have mostly body sprays, but do own perfumes, but only a select few. So, fruit all the way! However, Camu Camu isn't fruity, but it's my favorite. I don't really know how to describe it, I just think it smells "relaxing and pretty". But Camu Camu is what I have stocked up on.

I am not usually a fan of florals, either. Most of them smell too "soapy" for me. I do like jasmine and camellia, though. I may have to try Camu Camu!

Thanks! Camu Camu is nice. I tried the Blue Lotus, I can only use it on days where my allergies aren't that bad, otherwise- hello headache!
