Splish splash I was taking a bath!

Dona bath foam as a whole is nice product for bubble baths. The claim that it is a new kind of bubble bath will be left up to you on how you feel about that. With lovely aromas and a nice clean and relaxing feel, Dona bath foam is a great gift or even just a treat for yourself. The bubbles are plentiful and fun, ideally a great product with a partner involved.

Use

Put simply, Dona bath foam is for anyone who generally enjoys to relax in a nice tub of bubbly clean goodness that smells great too. The directions are fairly vague and simple. You are just free pouring this product into your running bath water until you reach the desired amount you want. Personally, I do not use a whole lot, but rather 2-3 caps is just perfect for me. When I bathe in something like this, I don't want an overly slippery 'cleaner-like' feel to the water.

The bottle itself says it is a bath foam however Eden Fantasy's also categorizes this as a "bath and shower gel". This might be confusing to some people and was to me at first. I have not used this product as a shower gel and don't plan on it either because of its original intended purpose and concentration of ingredients. While nothing was a red flag for me on the allergy concerns with ingredients, glycerin is one of the ingredients and buyers should take caution. I recommend looking at the other ingredients on the product page to see if there are any other problems you might run into. Also I'll note this product is for soaking your complete body and will make you feel clean, however it is for external-use-only so please don't drink any.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The best way I can describe this product is that it usually pours out like room temperature honey. It is fairly thick, thicker than your average shower gel and has a thick, slippery rich feel to it. For how thick it is, I find it easy to pour, however, with the bottle design you might find some wanting to dribble or run down the side of the bottle. When adding it to the water, it quickly bubbles and foams up creating lots of bubbles, but nothing that sets it apart from most other bubble bath products. Again, this will all depend on how much you add and when you add it to the water. If you add this early while running the water, more bubbles will form.

Overall, the water feels just like any other bubble bath, somewhat slippery and fun with lots of long lasting bubbles. I have found that the bubbles last 20-35 minutes on average, depending on how much I add to the water. After bathing, I do find the need to rinse the tub out slightly since I have other people who I live with. Better safe than sorry this way. After the water dries from the tub, it is not slippery, but re-activates and becomes slippery when water is added again.

Taste / Aroma

Because this is a product for external use only, I did not taste it, and have not run into any issues with getting the water in my mouth. I ordered mine in the pomegranate and wow, is it lovely. While I do pick up on slight hints of floral notes, for the most part there is mostly a lovely rich sweet smell of fruit to it. I'm not well versed on how pomegranate should smell, but to me this product smells like sweet strawberry candy. The aroma fills up my small bathroom quickly, and while strong, is never overpowering, in my experience. I have found that if I rinse off after soaking, the after smell of the product is only slightly lingering on my skin. But if I do not rinse off afterwards, I have found the yummy smell to last hours afterwards. Mostly my favorite part is the fact that I don't pick up on the cleanser or the chemical-like smells with the bath foam.

Performance

Generally, I don't like to bathe when I am really filthy, for that I will just have a shower. So generally I will use a product like this bath foam when I have had a lazy day of sitting around at home doing nothing. Each time I have used this product, I feel clean, relaxed, and refreshed after soaking for a good 20-30 minutes. As a kid, I do remember some bubble baths I had, but I can't compare performance wise now except for with the bubbles portion. Overall I feel this product does not give any improvement in this department compared to, lets say, other decent quality bubble baths. However, the added bonus with this is the all-natural ingredients and lovely array of smells. I guess for the most part, you get your money's worth with this, assuming you are searching for a bath foam that smells great and is natural. I will say that I do feel very clean and refreshed with each use.

Packaging

The product page here for the most part shows everything you need to know, a 9.5oz plastic bottle holds the product with a black screw top cap. To easily compare this to a real life product I would say it's about the same size as a standard Red Bull energy drink can. If traveling with this, I would put it in a zip-lock bag or some sort of water-tight packaging. As far as discretion goes, overall its not bad, but the word aphrodisiac appears a few times on the Dona products including this one. Some people might raise an eye-brow to that, but personally I don't care.

    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Not discreet

Special Features

The special features of this product, and other Dona products, are that they are an all-natural product. This means that all of the ingredients and processes used have been derived from a natural source (plants, animals etc). They are said to be an eco-friendly product, the packaging is recyclable and the ingredients are biodegradable. Finally the aphrodisiac properties, I'd personally recommend you do your own research and make up your own mind on this claim. Basically super-fruits and other types of smells, tastes, foods can be considered an aphrodisiac, in which they can increase sexual desire.

Personal comments

My personal thoughts on the Dona line by System JO and all their claims is that they lack information online to back up their claims. Dona product packaging lists that there is a website for the product line, but after speaking with a friend on Eden Fantasys, I found that it has been months and they still have not put the site up. I don't so much doubt that this line has high quality ingredients, I just feel that more information could and should be included. As far as pricing goes here on Eden for the Dona products, I feel it is fairly decent, more so with a 20%-30% coupon. There are maybe at least 2 other products in the Dona line I feel are somewhat overpriced which I will get into when I review those products.

In the end I feel Dona bath foam deserves a 4 of 5 stars rating. What kept me from rating it 5 stars was that the product overall did not seem to give me too much more than what I could find in other products. I guess it just didn't seem to stand out enough to really make it that best bath foam on the market.

Experience

I live with a few other people in an apartment, and finding the time to have a hot bath when the tub is clean can be difficult. But in my experience, I can say this is worth the wait to use a product like this. Overall, I have had nothing but good experiences with it and have been using many of the other Dona products. If you do like bubble baths, I do recommend you try this one.
Follow-up commentary
I still enjoy this product and have just about used it all up. I find it a more relaxing bubble bath than one for keeping me clean. I try to save this stuff for the times I really need to just soak in some water and relax. Since using Dona bath foam, I have not really discovered or come across any other things to add about it. Again, I just suggest getting this, and the other Dona products on sale, they are much more worth it then.
