Use

System Jo's new Dona line is natural, eco-friendly, paraban and cruelty free. Each "scent" is named for the aphrodisiac it is infused with, not its actual smell. This product does contain glyercin, so this bath foam wouldn't be the best choice for those that are sensitive to that ingredient.

The ingredients listed on the Blue Lotus Bath Foam bottle are:
Purified Water (Aqua), Sodium C 14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Sodium Cocoamphoacetate, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Propanediol, Glycerin, Sodium Chloride, Lycium Barbarum (Goji), Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed, Euterpe Oleracea (Açaí), Morinda Citrifolia (Noni), Punica Granatum (Pomegranate), Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea), Garcinia Mangostana (Mangosteen), Propanediol (~don't know why this is listed twice on the bottle~), Citric Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazone, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The Dona Bath Foam is clear, texture-free and has a very thick consistency similar to honey. It pours easily from the bottle, though a little slowly due to its thickness. It also runs down skin slowly because it is rather thick. The feeling of the bath foam is similar to body wash; smooth and slick with no stickiness or greasiness.

Taste / Aroma

Trying to describe how these smell is difficult because the name of the "scent" is not how it smells but what aphrodisiac it is infused with. To me, Blue Lotus smells slightly floral and definitely "green" with a subtle oceany undercurrent. What I mean by "green" is a plush flower stem and leaves scent. Overall, it smells clean and fresh. Also, in the bottle, the scent is rather strong. It easily scented my bathroom and produced scented bubbles, but the scent didn't really last on my skin.

As with other body care products, this is for external use only, do not ingest. I didn't taste this — neither should you.
    • Smells good

Performance

To produce an adequate layer of bubbles, I only needed to add 2 capfuls of the bath foam to running water. Because this is really thick, I did have to swish the cap in the water to get all the product out of it. The bubbles produced were frothy, similar to foam on top of cappuccino or beer. After 20 minutes, some of the bubbles had melted, but I was still left with a nice amount. By the 35 minute mark, a very light layer of bubbles was left at the end of the tub near my feet. At this point I emptied the tub, so I assume that a few more minutes would have left the water mostly clear and bubble-free. I didn't feel that this left my tub slick or slippery either.
    • Long lasting

Packaging

All of the Dona products' bottles are quite lovely. The Bath Foam bottle is coral with a maroon lace print on top. The front of the 9.5 oz bottle lists the name of the product, the "scent" and states that this product is natural, cruelty, paraban, and petro. deriv. free. The black portion of the label gives very brief instructions, info and the ingredient list. The packaging is rather discreet, nothing screams "SEX" except for the "an aphrodisiac infused ritual" on the front. If the person you're giving this to doesn't mind, then this does make a great gift.
    • Does not leak
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Would make a nice gift

Experience

I wasn't sure how I would like the Dona Bath Foam because I wasn't entirely fond of the body wash. The scent is exactly the same, of course, and doesn't last very long on my skin. But the foam did produce quite a bit of frothy bubbles which lasted for some time.

After my bath, I was curious how this would work as a body wash. The bath foam is a lot thicker than the body wash and is missing a few ingredients that the body wash has, but I figured I'd try it out. Honestly, it performed exactly as the body wash had. It was low-lathering but didn't seem to leave my skin as dry as the body wash had.

Also something else to note: I currently have a slight rash on top of my hands. It's not itchy and it looks like "chicken skin"... tons of little bumps, flesh colored or red (depending on if I've just washed my hands or not). I'm not sure what it is or what caused it. It's most likely from stress and a perfumed hand lotion I've been using. Anyway, using the bath foam didn't aggravate the bumps (or cause any other irritation). Actually, the bumps seem to have cleared up a bit after a bath. So I would assume that anyone with pre-existing skin conditions should have no problems using this product.

Overall, I would recommend the Dona Bath Foam. My experience with it was much nicer than the body wash and I would consider getting some of the other "scents". But if you're looking for something that produces long-lasting scent on your skin, you're better off looking elsewhere or getting the lotion/body butter to match.
Follow-up commentary
After using the Dona Bath Foam many times (2 or 3 capfuls each use), I've barely used a third of the product. This stuff truly lasts! It has never made my bathtub slippery and is a nice addition to a relaxing soak. I still don't think it makes a good substitute for body wash, but as a bubble bath, it works very well.

Fab review! I just got the Dona Body Polish today and haven't used it except on my hand and I already really love it! I was thinking about buying another Dona product now since they're on sale Not sure if I'll go with this, but certainly won't with the last one you reviewed due to the dry skin stuff. Thanks for the info though, this one will probably be my next pick!

Glad you enjoyed this product and the way you describe the blue lotus makes total sense. I just reviewed this in blue lotus also and had a hard time putting the scent into words. But I can definitely see where you are going with your description. I'm not sure if you rinsed off after using this product or not, but I found the scent lasted a good 2+ hours on my skin without rinsing off. But only if I stuck my nose right on my skin and sniffed. But lately I am picking up on scents much easier since I have been reviewing bath/body products.
