It's creamy and milky and makes shaving your bikini area easy.
It can get a little thick causing a build up that's difficult to shave with or wash away.

pixelcat Coochy shave creme review by pixelcat useful
Nice, light scent. Decent hair conditioner. Great for softening rough, dry patches on skin.
Hard to wash off. Slippery in shower! Needs to have heavier texture. Difficult to apply.

Slightly better than regular shave gel

Cream by Holiday Products

extremely useful review
Coochy sticks very well to the skin, allowing for a smooth, quick shave. It makes shaving in the shower much easier and eliminates the need for reapplying shaving gel. Overall, didn't cause any improvements in shaving intimate areas versus a shaving gel.
Pros:
Sticks well to the skin
Cons:
Sticks to razor, difficult to wash off
Rating by reviewer:
This toy was definitely designed
After hearing and reading many people rave about Coochy shave crème, I had to try it for myself. It wasn’t the miracle shaving crème I thought it’d be, but it wasn’t a let down either. I ordered mine in the Pear Berry scent, which is has a very faint, sweet smell to it.

The trick with Coochy is to dab a small amount, nickel sized or so, in the palm of your damp hand and work it into a foam texture. Apply to the damp skin you are going to be shaving. Apply too much and your razor will be full of gunk. Coochy sticks very nicely to the skin, which makes shaving in the shower a breeze. This is its saving grace as far as I am concerned. I always follow up shaving with an antibacterial scrub which removes the residue left by Coochy very nicely.

Make sure to follow up with a scrub of some sort. One night after shaving I was in a rush to get back to the bedroom and just rinsed off. My boyfriend started heading south and suddenly looked up with this horrified look on his face. I’m told the residue left does not have a very pleasant taste.

The good of this product is also its downfall. It sticks to your skin nicely, but also sticks to the razor. Be prepared to do a lot of razor rinsing as you shave. You can cut down on this product by using a small amount. I always rinse my razor off with alcohol before and after shaving, this seems to help remove some of the build up. I do not like to use Coochy for shaving my legs, simply because it does stick and is a little pricey to use that much product on a regular basis.

Because you use such a small amount, Coochy should last awhile. I’ve had it for 3 weeks, shave every other day, and have hardly made a dent in my four ounce bottle. Maybe my expectations were too high, or the fact that I’ve never had a problem with razor burn/in-growns, but Coochy wasn’t the wonder product that I was expecting. I do really like the fact it sticks and I don’t have to reapply shaving crème while shaving in the shower and would probably continue using it for this reason alone.
Experience
I got wordy in the review, so I'll write about my experience with Coochy as a hair conditioner here. I'm not normally a conditioner using girl, but I figured with murdering my hair with chlorine and the sun for the last 12 weeks, my hair deserved it. I have shoulder length hair, very fine, but a lot of it. I applied a quarter sized amount and worked it through my hair. I rinsed for what seemed like forever. The next day my hair did feel a little softer, but wasn't noticeable enough for me to justify using the somewhat pricey Coochy as a conditioner again.

A lot of people really love this product, so it's tough to say whether or not it would work for you. It's not too pricey and makes a great shaving gel for your legs, especially when shaving in awkward places.

I don't shave--ingrown hairs are icky, and a close trim is enough for me--but if I did, I was planning on using this. A bit of shame to see it's not as awesome as it sounds on paper.

Good luck with the waxing. I did that for a few years. It was very low maintenance, I just was terrible about letting enough grow to have it waxed off! I'm sure you'll love it!

I had thought about trying this as I do have trouble with ingrown hairs, but ended up deciding to just switch to waxing instead. I'm not sure I would have been able to get passed it sticking to the razor very well. Thanks for the review :)

I've actually found Coochy works quite well when mixed with a "regular" shave gel, as well. I use about a dime size dollop of Coochy with a pea sized squirt of regular shave gel to help it foam up and reduce the residue left on the blade.
