Treasure of the sea review
I would definitely recommend Kama Sutra's Treasure of the Sea sensual bathing kit to anyone who loves a fragrant, relaxing bath.Published: April 17, 2008
Pros:
Great packaging, lovely scent, skin-softening, wonderful shell scoop
Cons:
Weird loufa seeds
Like all Kama Sutra’s products, Treasure of the Sea sensual kit is a winner!
It comes packaged beautifully, in a colorful, reusable tin that can be used to hold other bath products once the product is used up (all mine have stood up remarkably well to rust in a moist environment). The kit includes nourishing bath salts, a loufa sponge, and a beautiful natural shell scoop for the salts.
One thing I really like about the Treasure of the Sea bath salts is that they do NOT foam and make bubbles. Bubble baths can be wonderful, but sometimes I just like my water to be scented and silky on my skin. This product delivers beautifully! The salts turn the water a lovely shade of blue and release a clean, ocean-like scent that fills the whole bathroom, but is not overwhelming. My skin is always soft and clean feeling after using this product, with no oily or greasy residue. It also rinses easily out of the bathtub, requiring just a few splashes of hot water and not a full scrubbing. The salts have always been very gentle on my skin and caused no irritation or UTI infections, a problem common with a lot of bath additives.
The one complaint I have about the produce is with the loufa sponge. Don’t get me wrong—it’s a great exfoliator. But the last several I have received have been filled with pumpkin-seed sized “seeds” (not sure of the proper term, sorry!) that are released from the sponge over the first use or two. I’m not a loufa connoisseur, so I’m not really sure if this is normal or not, but I found it annoying and a little gross.
Still, I would definitely recommend this kit as a lovely gift or something with which to pamper yourself. It’s wonderful when you want a sensual and fragranced bathing experience without the mess of bubbles or a difficult clean up.

I think I finally figured out why this product was not foaming for me--I was adding it near the back of the tub (away from the faucet) and as the tub was nearly full. When I tried adding it under the running water (duh!), it foamed up nicely. I do like the fact this product will either foam or not foam, giving me the option of taking a bubble bath or not. Sometimes, like when I'm reading in the tub, bubbles just get in the way (and yes, I like this product enough to use it solo as well as for sensual play).

You may be able to submit a ticket to get an answer to this. I'm not certain, but it's worth a shot I think.

KamaSutra's Treasure of the Sea ingredients?
-
I was looking at the Treasure of the Sea today and I can't find the ingredients on the product page. The whole page is just blank. I tried looking the ingredients up on Kama Sutra's page but I didn't find them there either. Can someone tell me the ingredients if you have this? I mainly just want to know if there is glycerin in this. I was going to buy the similar Shunga bath salts but those have glycerin so I can't use those. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Thank you for viewing Treasures of the sea – sensual kit review page!

This product did foam and make bubbles in my bath. I think it may react different if you have hard water? Not sure why it wouldn't foam for you, but it makes about 2" of bubbles in my bath that last the entire bath. Great review!
Hrm, that's funny about the bubbles. I tend to add product AFTER the tub is filled up as well so that probably had something to do with it. It's nice that the product can be versatile in that way. Thanks for the compliment and the comment!
