For the Things That Need Locks
This box is a beautiful solution to the problem of sex toy blatancy. Large enough to hold a few favorites close at hand, the Devine Corset Box is lockable, to prevent prying eyes from embarrassing exposure.Published: July 26, 2010
Pros:
Very attractive, has a lock, is subtle.
Cons:
Difficult to clean!
I received this box as a present from a lover who clearly didn't understand what the words, "BIG Box of Sex Toys" meant. When I got it, I was even more excited, because it is a far more attractive box than I would have expected.
On a completely aesthetic level, it is gorgeous. It's made of a very soft satin, with faux-leather. The corset laces are also made of satin cord. The best part of the aesthetics is that it's completely subtle--if you did not know better, it would just be a small bedside table box, and it is not obviously a box of sex toys or lube, which makes it easier for anyone with a housekeeper, roommates, or anyone else who could wander into your bedroom.
It comes with a diary-type lock and two keys, though I have had success picking the lock with a safety pin (not a wise idea to keep the spare key anywhere within reach of a small child or a large house cat). The lock is enough to keep a curious mother or child out, but if you really want to get in, it's easily pickable.
My only issue with it is due, in part, to my own clumsiness. During a heated session with my partner, lubricants spilled on the inside of the box. I have since tried every cleanser under the sun with no success--and I'm reluctant to continue trying for fear that I will ruin the box completely. My other concern is that if I put toys in when they are not quite sterile, eventually the box will become a germ breeding ground, so I'm going to continue my cleaning attempts. At the very least, I can use a disinfectant spray on it.
The Devine box holds a lot, if you are able to pack it well--about eight toys if they're small, three if they're larger. It has no "give" though, so once it's full, you can't squeeze more in.
The top is kept attached to the box with a thin strand of satin ribbon, which is a smart idea for a box, though the first time I whipped the box open I didn't know why I couldn't open it flat!
I used this to travel back and forth to a hotel, and it is fine if you're going to throw it in a suitcase--it keeps all the toys together, and separated from your clean suit jacket, though do leave it unlocked if you're flying--wouldn't want the TSA to cut your lock!

Follow-up commentary

I still think this is a great box. I've never been able to get the stain out of it, but I use it to hold batteries and other knickknacks by my bedside, since it's cute and doesn't seem out of place if I get an unexpected visitor.

Storing jellies and PVC...
-
Can Jelly and PVC toys be stored together in a box, bag, etc? In other words that is all that is in the box, bag, etc is Jelly and PVC toys.I had a PVC fluttering butterfly start to melt and I store it currently in my drawer w/ a mini bullet and a silicone vibrator. But as my collection grows (by leaps and bounds!) I need more storage space and I am concerned what I can group these types of toys together with. Thank you all :)

idk but i never take the risk... i burned one toy and it cost way to much money so now they are all bagged indvidually and in a box together

For safety, you should store all of your sex toys separately. In one place? Sure. So long as they're all bagged up individually. There are a few items you don't have to worry about reacting (plastic, glass, etc.) but there are a few items that are pretty certain to react with different materials (jelly) and SAME materials (silicone). So to be safe, at least put them all in a different plastic bag/pouch/etc. before you store them together.

Devine toybox/cube promo
-
wdanasWhen I select one of the the Devine toy boxes, I do not have the option to add a condom cube even though the gift promo page says that this is active through the 14th. Am I just missing something here? :^) -
The only thing I can suggest is putting in a support ticket. :/

wdanasIt appears to be working now. :)

Why are there no boxes in male designs?Men have toys or at the very least condoms,so why not make these a little more manly?

Could I get one in diamond plate, maybe with leather trim?
I would like to see something like this for guy's, that way we could have "His" and "Hers".

Thank you for viewing Devine toy box pink corset – storage container review page!

How about a Clorox disinfecting wipe? I swear, those things can strip paint!
I haven't tried Clorox wipes... I'll have to pick some up! I did try one of those Tide stainbusting pens, though, and it didn't work (But I'm not sure whether to blame the pen or the box!)
I've been dying to get a cute little box like this for some of our toys. It's too bad you spilled the lube on it. Hope you figure out a way to get it all cleaned up nice!
I highly recommend it, aly! Except my pilot error, it's been a total dream. It's big enough for your two favorite toys, condoms, and a bottle of lube--what more do you need beside your bed?
The spill is on the inside, too, so it doesn't funk up the appearance of the box!
If you were going to travel with this, that'd be a huge suitcase. Good review though. I own this one and loooove it.
This is cute! Nice review, thanks!
I've been going back and forth between this, the lace one, and the croco one.
Thanks for the review.
I love this one especially so because it has that hint of sexy sensuality, while being completely subtle. The croco one is very attractive, especially if the room it's being placed in has red tones, but I thought this one was definitely a good choice for me!
thanks for this review because I was thinking about buying one so def. on my list now and heres to you gettin the stain/lubricate out
With the clorox wipe at least it would disinfect the stain and ease your mind about the box becoming some sci-fi germ breeding ground! Sucks that it totally stained the box though. Thanks for the review!
Stain worries aren't a big concern with this box because the sides and bottom of the box are black; the only thing to be careful around is the pink top or the pink inside (where mine stained). I'm definitely going to pick up some clorox wipes this afternoon! Thanks, y'all!
This is so cute
Good review!
Will it hold a "Dick Rambone", or a "Great American Challenge" dildo?
Rick, unfortunately this toybox will not hold either of those toys.
Howevvvvver...
I looked up some tech specs of other toys and this flogger box might work for you; it's 22" by 3". You would have to get two boxes, one each for the toys, but it would still be workable.
If you wanted to keep them all together, this is kind of an unconventional solution, but I use a toolbox for my bigger toys so I can just keep them all together.
Good luck with your box hunt!
Thanks for the review!
