The Original Toibocks -- Classy and Functional
This box is classy, sleek, and holds some of my favorite possessions. If you own a large toy collection, it probably won't hold all of your toys, but it will hold your favorites. Those of you with small collections, you couldn't ask for a better way to store it.Published: December 29, 2011
Pros:
Discreet, Classic Look, Locking Feature
Cons:
Could be a little bigger
I knew I had to have the Original ToiBocks as soon as I saw it. After months of lusting after it, and trying to talk myself into cheaper storage options -- I caved and placed the order for this lovely little gem. Let me just say, I'm glad that I did, for multiple reasons.
This box has a gorgeous appearance. The exterior of the ToiBock is made of a beautiful wood, which makes the box look like an eloquent jewelry box. The interior, on the other hand, is coated with a stunning, and almost classic-looking, red fabric. Dimension wise, this box IS fairly small, being only 11" in length, 7" in width, and 6 1/4" in depth. Small as it is, it's definitely functional, and honestly, it could probably fit the average toy users entire collection. Unfortunately for my limited storage space, I am not the average toy user, and I have quite the collection -- but this fits enough of my toys to make it worth the money for me.
The top of the box is fairly simply to open -- just lift it. When you do this, you'll find a little shelf with three sections. The top shelf can be used to store just about any you like. If you want discretion, you could store something like jewelry, or other little non-adult nature'd gems. As for me, I store more toys in the top of the box, as discretion is not really a priority for me. In the top shelf of the ToiBocks alone, I store the following items: (1) Rockstar vibes Joni, (2) A Pair of Beaded Nipple Clamps, (3) Another pair of nipple clamps, (4) PicoBong Mahana, and (5) An egg vibrator. So far, not so bad for a fairly small box.
Ah, but wait! There's more room in this box, though you won't get to the extra space without knowing the secret. You see, simply lifting the top shelf up is not going to open it -- you need to use the magnetic key in order to open it. You simply place the magnetic key in a specific spot on the box, lift the shelf, and there you will find the additional storage space. As for where you place the key? Unfortunately, you're going to have to buy this to find out the exact secret, as I'm not going to be the one to spill the beans. Inside the larger storage area, I have the following: (1) Fleur De Lis silicone Bliss, (2) Flexi Felix, (3) Love Drop egg vibrator, (4) A pair of handcuffs, (5) First Time Softee Pleaser, (6) Collar with Clamps, (7) Uma, (8) One small ball gag, and (9) Extase Elegance. I would like to add that I store EVERYTHING in it's own individual pouch (or in some cases, sock), and that I could easily fit in at least one more traditional vibrator.
Adding it all up, that is a total of 14 things that this box is storing for me, with some additional room left. It does take some effort to get everything in place so that it fits nicely, but for me? It's worth the extra effort.
Overall, this is an excellent storage choice, though it would be nice if it were just slightly larger.

This is one of my favorite purchases yet - I just wish that it held more! Still, I adore this piece.
I love it so much that I am thinking of buying another one.

What Kind of Wood Is The ToiBocks Made of?
-
I'm wondering if the type of wood is what makes it valuable. Does anyone know what kind of wood it's made of?

ToiBocks is the only discreet storage designed specifically for novelties, that you can keep on the nightstand, dresser, or desk and it will not look out of place.
Due to variations in humidity and temperature throughout the world, and the small lock mechanism, ToiBocks is manufactured using MDF. We tried many different kinds of actual wood to create ToiBocks (over 3 years of R/D) and found the humidity/temperature of real wood made it constrict/contract and interfered with the effectiveness of the lock mechanism.
The design and function of the box are what increased the manufacturing costs, leading to the higher price.
All my best,

What do you guys think of this new company? I think while they are expense, it is an awesome idea. According to a video I watched, the owner said they have 9 products coming out by the end of the year! I am very interested to see what all of them are as only two (the original ToiBocks, and the ToiTissue). I think the pieces are gorgeous and seem like an awesome idea for people with lots of guest or children.
The ToiBocks locks via magnetic key, so even if someone suspected it had a compartment in the bottom, they wouldn't be able to get into it unless they had one and knew they worked (and had a key). While it wouldn't hide very many toys, it would be great for keeping a few favorites easily accessed. I've been looking at more storage options lately, and it's been hard trying to decide what I want to get! At least now I know, even if they are out of my price range at the moment. I definitely want the ToiTissue for condoms, and I want the ToiBocks for my favorites on my dresser. I am really hoping they make something a little larger too, though I feel faint when I think how expensive larger pieces would be. No doubt these are high end and absolutely gorgeous.

They're nice- but completely not my style. I don't care for any wood finishes with my furniture. They'd be totally out of place. Like Backseat- I need large storage. Any really small toys I have that would fit in those I just keep in my nightstand.
They're just awfully expensive, neat, but pricey.

Thank you for viewing The original toibocks – storage container review page!

good job on your review, thanks for sharing.
Good review. I enjoyed hearing how much you were able to get in there!
Great review. Thank you!
Thanks for the review!
Sounds like it can fit a lot.
Great job on the review
Thank you for the review
Great review, but I think for the price I would just buy a traditional jewelry box this size (granted, likely on sale) for far less. I've seen ones almost exactly like this at JCP.
good review
