Get Slick With Sliquid Organics Silk!

I have always had a hard time choosing a lubricant. I am very sensitive and I dry out incredibly easily. I found that this lube left my skin feeling smooth and silky, and it even lasted a decent amount of time. I can easily use it alone, with my husband and with sex toys. This lubricant is worth trying, especially if you are looking for something that has all natural ingredients, is glycerin and paraben free and is good for women who are sensitive.

Use

The thing that drew me to this lubricant was the fact that it had all natural ingredients. The Sliquid website boasts that "Sliquid Organics Silk is a water & silicone based hybrid organic personal lubricant, botanically infused with natural ingredients to create a natural silky and creamy texture." It is glycerin and paraben free and organic. It is also said to be good for woman who are sensitive, which is totally the category that I fit into! My husband and I have tried more lubes than I can even remember and this is the best one so far. With the other lubes I've tried I would have problems with them drying out too quickly, causing discomfort or a burning sensation, or just not feeling good, at all. I have not had these problems with this lube.

This lube is great for use in vaginal sex, clitoral stimulation and with both clitoral and vaginal sex toys. The only problem that I ran into with it so far is I found that it can dry out a bit when used in the clitoral area, and can start flaking.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This lube feels silky and velvety on the skin. Out of all the lubes I have tried so far, this one felt the best when applied. It feels very similar to natural lubrication. The lube itself is fairly runny, almost the consistency of shampoo, and you have to be careful when applying is, as it can be a bit messy. It is a opaque white color, that resembles semen.
    • Creamy
    • Smooth
    • Velvety

Taste / Aroma

This product is pretty much odorless. I have not noticed any scent from it while using it. My husband and I haven't tried using it during oral sex yet so I'm not sure about the taste, but it is supposed to be unflavored and I imagine the taste would be unremarkable.
    • No smell

Performance

You do not have to use a lot of this lubricant, a small amount (about the size of a nickle) goes a long way. I do find that there are times that I will reapply it during sex, usually to the clitoral area. But once you get going the lube seems to enhance your natural lubrication and it easily lasts as long as you need it to. I love the way it makes my skin feel. It makes your skin feel smooth and silky, and it doesn't feel sticky or like a residue is left behind. My only complaint is that it can dry out in the clitoral area if used for a long time and start to flake. I tend to have a problem with dryness though, so this may not be a problem for most women. The lube is very easy to re-wet though, and feels smooth and silky again if you re-moisten it.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural
    • Long lasting

Packaging

I love the bottle that this lube comes in. The pop top makes this lube really easy to administer and it doesn't get all messy and everywhere. The bottle itself is also quite pretty and I have found it to be a very intuitive product design. You can also easily open it with one hand, it doesn't leak and it's easy to use.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Does not leak
    • Easy to use / dispense

  • Lies!!
    • I was about to get the Sliquid silk organics over the regular Sliquid organics...until I stumbled across a review that says that it's not entirely water-based. It's actually a water-silicone hybrid lube, but Eden has it listed solely as a water-based lube. I was intending to purchase it to use with my silicone toys (which has the possibility of warping the silicone toys), so I'm very grateful that someone thought to post the truth about this lube in their review.
    • I've noticed this, too. As far as I've know, the only hybrid lube that is listed as "silicone/water" is Wet Synergy. Anybody know why this is?
    • It says the base is silicone / water on the product page - or do you mean it's listed that way somewhere else?

  • Sliquids shelf life?
    • Does anybody know what the shelf life on this would be? I'm wondering if it would be less than other lubes because of all the natural ingredients it contains. Any info on this or other natural lubes would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'd like to know what it is as well.
    • I prefer the Sliquid organics line myself, but I don't know the shelf life. I'd love to know as well

  • Why is it called silk?
    • just wondering why it is called silk? I assume there is not silk involved since this is a vegan product. right? I have seen some cosmetics "infused with real silk" so the name is throwing me off. Just wanted reassurance
    • I'm going to answer assuming your question is serious.

If you read the product description, it states "Natural creamy and silky, non-sticky texture." The name "Silk" is referring to the texture of the lubricant, meaning it is smooth as in "smooth as silk."

when you have people try to sabotage you, it is not unreasonable to get paranoid. I know it says vegan, but so have lots of things that have said vegan but then were not.

like I said. just wanting reassurance. thanks.
