Masturbate mostly

Personally, I think this lubricant, though very nice and very chemically clean, is more useful in quick personal pleasure. But as sex is concerned, the lubricant leaves the skin soft but not slippery enough for my preference, to use during sex.

Pros:
Clean, bottle is nice to look at. Easy to squeeze during intimate moments.
Cons:
looses slippery nature rather fast during use

useful review
I bought this lubricant for two reasons: I was out of lube, and my partner is sensitive to the chemicals used in other lubricants. So the organic qualities of this product were a big selling point.

Visually the bottle screams of a an apothecary medicinal. The look is clearly geared to the new "organic" hype, that all the bloggers are twittering about. The label has a nice subtle texture the alludes to thoughts of recycling and getting better mileage. And a lubricant that gets me supreme mileage in the bedroom, is an investment for happier future.

The bottle is easy to open. It has a flip top and a firm yet squeezable bottle. I personally like pump nozzles, but the cap was easy to open and easy to dispense, especially during play.

The lubricant itself is initially very slippery, and smells very clean, akin to simple nature of basic hand soap. When I first used the lube, I played with it in my fingers, and I tasted it. Yes I tasted the lube. Because I find that in the bedroom, sex and foreplay are often interchanging and sometimes lubricant ends up in places, like the mouth. So for me a lubricant that doesn't have a gross acidic flavor or taste like glue is a product I could buy with regularity. Personally this lubricant doesn't taste like anything. What flavor is there, is subtle.

In use, the lubricant wasn't runny or thick like most a-typical lubes. In fact this lubes feels more like face lotion, light and clean enough to use on the most sensitive parts of the body.

In play, i.e. during sex, I found that the initially slippery nature of the lube disappears rather quickly and is absorbed into the skin, similar to the feeling of saliva or lotion. Although still useful for sex, I found that re-applying was necessary.

I hate it when lube gets unslippery quickly. That defeats the point. Good review though.

  • Lies!!
    • I was about to get the Sliquid silk organics over the regular Sliquid organics...until I stumbled across a review that says that it's not entirely water-based. It's actually a water-silicone hybrid lube, but Eden has it listed solely as a water-based lube. I was intending to purchase it to use with my silicone toys (which has the possibility of warping the silicone toys), so I'm very grateful that someone thought to post the truth about this lube in their review.
    • I've noticed this, too. As far as I've know, the only hybrid lube that is listed as "silicone/water" is Wet Synergy. Anybody know why this is?
    • It says the base is silicone / water on the product page - or do you mean it's listed that way somewhere else?

  • Sliquids shelf life?
    • Does anybody know what the shelf life on this would be? I'm wondering if it would be less than other lubes because of all the natural ingredients it contains. Any info on this or other natural lubes would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'd like to know what it is as well.
    • I prefer the Sliquid organics line myself, but I don't know the shelf life. I'd love to know as well

  • Why is it called silk?
    • just wondering why it is called silk? I assume there is not silk involved since this is a vegan product. right? I have seen some cosmetics "infused with real silk" so the name is throwing me off. Just wanted reassurance
    • I'm going to answer assuming your question is serious.

If you read the product description, it states "Natural creamy and silky, non-sticky texture." The name "Silk" is referring to the texture of the lubricant, meaning it is smooth as in "smooth as silk."

when you have people try to sabotage you, it is not unreasonable to get paranoid. I know it says vegan, but so have lots of things that have said vegan but then were not.

like I said. just wanting reassurance. thanks.
