Striped thigh high socks - socks discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by xMila

The Striped Thigh High socks by Leg Avenue are a pair of thigh high black and white striped socks that are fun and perfect for Halloween costumes or everyday wear. I bought these especially to wear with my Alice costume this year and even though they stretched a little I'm happy with how they look.

They come in one size fits most, and are made of 76% acrylic, 21% nylon, 2% spandex, 1% polyester, and have a woven pattern. On the back of the cardboard sleeve it says WT: 90-160 lbs. When I measured the socks lying on a flat surface they measure 26 inches in length. The material is very soft and also thick, so you could also wear them during the winter to keep those feet warm and toasty! The design is very simple, just alternating black and white stripes that are about 1 inch in height when the sock is not stretched. My foot size is 9, and these socks fit me well.

As usual, one size fits most does not really fit most. Even though the material is really stretchy, if you have thicker thighs the socks might stretch too much to the point where you can see some white in the black stripes, like in my pictures, and they might also be a little tight for some people. They do not reach all the way to my thighs, just a couple inches above my knee, but that may vary from person to person.



They come in a clear plastic bag, and have a cardboard sleeve holding them in. For storage I just folded them and put them on my socks drawer. When washing these socks the packaging says to hand wash them in warm water, do not use bleach, let them drip dry, and do not iron them.

Even though they are kinda stretched when I wear them I'm happy with these socks. I bought them for my Halloween costume, but they are comfortable enough that I'll probably wear them more around the house during the fall and winter months.
