Striped thigh high socks - socks discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Lillian21

I love to dress in new and interesting ways, and I'm a huge stockings fan. For me, the perfect pair of socks can complement any skirt, dress, jeans, or shorts and makes a much bolder fashion statement than a crafty slogan on a tee shirt. I picked up these stockings because I loved the stripes. For me, they radiate an Alice-in-Wonderland type of theme, and who doesn't love that?

I paired these socks with a short black skirt and a black long-sleeved shirt. I wore combat boots with them, as well. The look really worked for me and I got a lot of complements on the socks. Wearing all black with these REALLY makes the socks "pop" and people tend to notice them because they're unusual. I also tried these out with a pair of jeans, and while no one could see the socks under my clothes, they kept my legs extra warm that day!

These socks are very durable and will last you for months. I've washed mine several times and they still look just as great as the first day I wore them. I would note, however, that if you have chubby legs or you're a bigger girl, the lines on the socks do stretch out. It doesn't look bad, but it does make it noticeable that the socks might be a bit small. Also, the top of the socks makes it so that they'll stay in place without sliding down, but can create a bit of a bulge in your thigh. I picked skirts that came to just BELOW the top of the sock, so I didn't have much problem, but it's something to think about. These socks would work best on someone with slender legs, but bigger girls can still enjoy these, too. I'm about a size 14/16 and still find these socks very comfortable.
