Marry Me, Pocket Fairy!
The Pocket Fairy has replaced my Hitachi Magic Wand when it comes to intense vibrations. It is small and cute, but don't let the size fool you. It packs a serious punch.Published: September 1, 2010
Pros:
Small, holds a charge for a long time, pretty, intense vibrations.
Cons:
The stopper to the charging element could get lost easily.
Yes, I know the title is silly for this review, but I've never been so smitten with a toy in all my life. The Pocket Fairy packs a serious punch, and yes, I'd like to have its babies if I could.
I was pretty skeptical reading/watching some of the reviews on this toy. How could something so small deliver such strong vibrations, I wondered. I own the Hitachi, and up until this point, I thought it was the strongest weapon in my arsenal. That's why I had to order the Pocket Fairy and find out what the big deal was.
The little toy was shipped in a pink box. The toy itself was incased in plastic, which I promptly tore open and threw in the recycling bin. The charger was packed separately, which I found odd, but didn't mind so much. I was feeling sad that I had to actually plug the toy in and let it charge for 5 hours before I could use it. So, I waited patiently as it charged.
The charger itself is pretty awesome. The tongs that plug into the outlet pull out from the charging base. This makes it super easy to store and even travel with. The cord is a good length, maybe three feet, so you don't have to have it sitting right under your outlet as it's charging. The only design flaw I can see with the charging part of this toy is the teeny tiny plastic/rubberized "stopper" that you remove before plugging the charger into the toy can get lost very easily. It would have been better if the designers thought of a way to keep this little stopper attached to the base of the toy so it won't get lost.
After the light switched off (there is a blue light that illuminates at the base to show you it's being charged) I was all excited to use the Pocket Fairy. I got comfortable, put on some music, and went to work.
I have to tell you, I think I had an orgasm in record time. The "low" setting on this vibrator is just like the "low" setting on the Hitachi. Of course, this is just my opinion, but I feel like it vibrates even more than the Hitachi. The "high" setting on the Pocket Fairy just sent me over the edge. I couldn't believe how intense the vibrations are on this tiny little toy! It pretty much blew my mind.
Another plus: This toy is quiet! You can barely hear the buzzing at all. That's another big selling point for me.
The toy cleans up easily as well. I just used a toy cleaning wipe. I had to wipe the little head of the toy and the base. I don't believe this toy is waterproof. It did not come with a pouch to store it in, but I can find a little pouch on my own to make up for that. It will absolutely go in my carry-on bag the next time I travel, too.
I've used this toy alone and with my partner six times since I charged it on the first day it arrived in the mail. I was on round 7 last night when it finally ran out of juice. That's a total of 14 days on one charge, using it for about 10-20 minutes each time. Awesome! The good thing about the Pocket Fairy is that it will just turn off when it has no more charge to it, unlike some vibes that keep buzzing on a lesser strength until it finally dies. I really like that particular feature of this toy.
I highly, highly recommend the Pocket Fairy to everyone and anyone who is reading this. You'll love it so much you'll forget about your big, cumbersome Hitachi for sure.

Follow-up commentary

I'm still head-over-heels, madly in love with the Pocket Fairy. I take it with me wherever I go. It still holds a long charge and does the trick in a minimal amount of time. If you haven't purchased this yet, I don't know what you're waiting for.

-
Does the Pocket work as well as the Mini? I LOVE MY MINI but its sadly very hard to hide and or pack.
Does anyone know if the Pocket packs the same punch?

Which should I buy?
-
I love this one plus the Hitachi wand and I am torn which one to buy. I love the Hitachi items and the variety. I love that this one is cordless. The price is not a huge difference and wanted some other opinions. Which one lasts longer & which do you have?
-
I prefer the Hitachi because he vibrations are deeper and more thuddy than the Fairy. And, Hitachi has been a household name since the 70s. If it didn't work, they wouldn't still be so well loved.

I don't have the pocket fairy, and I do have hitachi, and I don't really like its buzzy vibes.

Generally, this toy seems to be pretty thrilling for everyone but has some mixed reviews on the type of vibrations. How "buzzy" is this toy or is it more "throbby?" Would the buzz be more similar to a bullet or other massager wands?

Oh, I have to have it. Awesome review! Thank you.
