Easy Ryder

This plug is easy to use, easy to clean, and easy to store. It's a great basic plug, that I'm sure will get the most use of my collection.

Use

The reason I enjoy using plugs is to feel the fullness and the anal stimulation. I like to wear them around the house or out in public as foreplay for myself as well as my partner. Being the only ones aware that I am secretly being stimulated in this way is a huge turn on for both of us. It also helps as a "warm up" for anal sex later. The trouble with some plugs is that they are not comfortable enough or tend to not stay in as well as I would like for extended periods of time. The Ryder is the perfect butt plug for me. It is smooth and comfortable, stays put, and I can wear it anywhere!

Material / Texture

The Ryder is another great silicone product by Tantus. It is firm but not hard and unyielding. There is a slight rubber smell out of the box, but has faded with use and washing.

Design / Shape / Size

The Tantus Ryder is a medium sized silicone butt plug. The base allows for comfortable placement between the cheeks and the design allows it to stay in and remain comfortable for extended use. I can even sit down in a hard wooden chair for a long dinner and not feel uncomfortable. Fans of double penetration will find that it's also an easy way to achieve the "hands free" feeling of fullness with intercourse. It stays put no matter what position I'm in. The same, I imagine would be true for males.

Beginners to anal play may find that the Ryder is a little big. You could always warm up with a smaller plug, and make sure to relax and use adequate lubrication.

Performance

The Ryder is a great basic plug of good quality silicone. It stays in comfortably, and is everything I have been looking for in a plug. If you are looking for something beautiful, different, or more stimulating, look elsewhere. However, if you are like me, and just want a comfortable plug that is good quality... this is the one for you!

Care and Maintenance

Silicone is easy to care for and easy to sterilize. I use antibacterial hand soap and hot water for quick cleanup. I have sterilized it in a 10% bleach and water solution. You could also boil it for a few minutes, or put it in the top rack of your dishwasher. After cleaning and drying, I put it in a plastic zip top bag and place it in my bedside drawer, by itself. That way there is no risk at damage from other materials.

As for all silicone toys, you should not use silicone lube. I use water based with all of my toys, just to be safe.

Personal comments

I wanted this plug in black, but when I went to order it, it was out of stock in that color. I was too impatient, so I went ahead and got the purple. It is also available in copper.

Experience

I eagerly awaited this plug, and couldn't wait to use it. As soon as I got it in the mail, I cleaned it and tried it out. I was able to wear it comfortably for several hours. I cleaned my house, did laundry, sat at the computer for an hour, and did some "testing" by doing squats. The stimulation was arousing, and more importantly... the plug stayed in!
When Daddy got home from work that night, I immediately pounced on him. He had no idea my plug had come, but when he bent me over the sofa, he was pleasantly surprised. He loved seeing that small purple base nestled between my cheeks. We both loved how it felt when he entered me. I love the feeling of having both holes filled and his pounding against the plug with is thrusts made it feel like he was fucking me two places at once!

What else can I say about this? It's a great plug. It had held up perfectly after many, many wearings. It's a great medium sized plug that is comfortable for extended wear. This is the only plug I wear out in public or around the house. The only time I use another is if I want some texture or more length, or if I want some thrusting.

Nice review! The Ryder was also my first plug, never been disappointed and serves now as a warm-up for larger toys. For me, vaginal sex with a butt plug in my ass is awesome!

I didn't say it was my first plug, just the first one I have had that stays put and is comfortable for extended wear. I'm ready to get something larger, but I wanted to get this one first, so I had a good standby and one to help me warm up to a bigger one!

    • Why should you never use silicone on a silicone toy?
    • Some, not all silicone lube will 'stick' to silicone material. I have read that some premium silicone lubes will work with some premium silicone materials. You can try some on the base and see, when I last tried it kinda etched the silicone material. (does that make sense) It left a indentation were the lube was.

      That's the basics, Some of the other members can give a more technical answer.
    • Some silicone lubes will bond to some silicones. This seems to be more of an issue the softer the silicone is, so toys like O2 and VixSkin will be more susceptible (makes sense, as the silicone has fewer crosslinks). Quality lubes seem to have less of a problem also, and it is likely that cheaper silicones might have more of a problem.

      I have tested quality silicone lube on several quality silicone toys and did not notice a permanent problem, but (a) the toys developed "hives" that lasted for a few hours (was gone the next day) and (b) it's really hard to clean the silicone lube off of the toys, but it can be done. While this is purely subjective, but it seemed that the silicone lube wasn't as "lubey" on silicone toys. I don't use silicone lube on silicone toys anymore - it's just not worth the trouble.
