Faultless Yet Not My Favorite
At $30 currently, Ryder should be in just about everyone's toy box. While you may not be blown away by this toy, you won't be disappointed either as you're almost guaranteed to find some use for it that you'll like. With it being a silicone toy, it should last virtually forever with proper care which in my mind makes it worth the higher price versus a jelly or rubber toy. I've had mine for over four years and it still looks brand new.Published: May 21, 2010
Pros:
-Very comfortable base
-No sharp edges or seams
-No sharp edges or seams
Cons:
-I enjoy longer necked plugs that are looser

I've got admit in the past few months I've come to like this plug more. I think I'm learning to enjoy that tight feel you feel with plug in versus ones with longer necks. This is a must have and easily one of Tantus' better plugs.

Can we get more toys in Copper?
-
The Ryder in Copper is so pretty. I'd love to see more toys offered in this colour. :) Is that likely to happen at all? I haven't seen it on any other listing. Is this colour discontinued?

Is this colour discontinued?Yes, it sure has been discontinued. It was weird - Copper was a slow seller, and we got some feedback from retailers that it wasn't at all popular. Then when we discontinued last Spring it got snapped up pretty quickly. I only have closeouts left, but we're hoping that by discontinuing Copper we'll have more time in the production schedule to pursue other colors.

Glow in the dark? That's my favorite color! Maybe something black light reactive?

Why should you never use silicone on a silicone toy?

Why should you never use silicone on a silicone toy?

Some, not all silicone lube will 'stick' to silicone material. I have read that some premium silicone lubes will work with some premium silicone materials. You can try some on the base and see, when I last tried it kinda etched the silicone material. (does that make sense) It left a indentation were the lube was.
That's the basics, Some of the other members can give a more technical answer. -
Some silicone lubes will bond to some silicones. This seems to be more of an issue the softer the silicone is, so toys like O2 and VixSkin will be more susceptible (makes sense, as the silicone has fewer crosslinks). Quality lubes seem to have less of a problem also, and it is likely that cheaper silicones might have more of a problem.
I have tested quality silicone lube on several quality silicone toys and did not notice a permanent problem, but (a) the toys developed "hives" that lasted for a few hours (was gone the next day) and (b) it's really hard to clean the silicone lube off of the toys, but it can be done. While this is purely subjective, but it seemed that the silicone lube wasn't as "lubey" on silicone toys. I don't use silicone lube on silicone toys anymore - it's just not worth the trouble.

Is this going to be in stock soon?

If you haven't noticed, I've been going over my wishlist (see the O2 discussion) and I've noticed that this plug that I've wanted forever isn't even in stock. Will it be restocked?
-
That's funny. Two of the toys that I want to purchase are out of stock as well. The Vixen Ryder and Johnny. Then I noticed that several Vixen products are out of stock at the moment. I wonder when all of these toys will be restocked.
