So the story goes like this-
I was on a search for the most comfortable butt plug known to man (and woman) and one that I could wear out in public without the fear of it popping out! I tried tiny plugs. I tried larger plugs. I tried the classic rounded cone shaped ones, straight and bent. Every shape I could find and even cock shaped ones but nothing felt "right". When I opened the box to my Ryder, my first thought was "Wow, maybe I'm being a bit ambitious?" and then my second was about how smooth and silky it felt in my hand.

My beloved Ryder is made of gorgeously smooth latex free / non-porous / phthalates free / hypo-allergenic food grade silicone. That is firm yet plush all at once. The Ryder has some give to its silicone but not enough to make it hard to insert at all. It has no texture what so ever and would be perfect for any anal player beginner or advanced but it does have a bit of a silicone smell to it. It's not a very strong smell and not at all overwhelming but it is noticeable. The Ryder unfortunately does take on smells but I found that it is quickly overcome with a straight forward boil for a few minutes

The one bad thing about the lovely high grade silicone of the Ryder is that everything wants to cling to it and I mean EVERYTHING! Lube clings to it really well but so does dust, lint and hair. I think I could quite possibly pick up my neighbours tiny little dog with it! So keeping it in a lint free bag or box is absolutely essential!

I LOVE the design of the Ryder. It's absolutely perfect and exactly what I was looking for. The shape of the "bulb" is generous and may be a little intimidating at first, especially for less experienced anal players, but I found it quite a joy the first time and very time since.










The Ryder isn't a HUGE plug but it's also not for beginners. I would say this toy is great for the intermediate user. The bulk of the toy is an unassuming oval-ish bulb.
It starts with a very slightly tapered, thick, rounded end and gradually gets a little thicker toward the bottom half of what I can only describe as an egg shape. The "Egg" shape then tapers off rather quickly into a thin cylindrical neck and after that it flares into a small yet more than adequate base. The base might look and seem sort of flimsy and flexible at first, because it is fairly thin and skinny but once I had The Ryder in, I found it to be an ample and incredibly comfy base. It just nestles between your cheeks and unlike bigger bases I can barely notice it's there. The great base also worked well for me vaginally too. I found that I could again get it to fit nicely between my outer lips and it was invisible through panties.

The Ryder definitely does its job really well. The Bulbous egg shaped body is girthy enough to give you that lovely full feeling. The slim neck helps you get a nice tight grip and is very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. I don't ever have to worry that my body will accidentally push the Ryder out because it feels so natural and holds in good and tight.
My favourite way to use my Ryder, other than during play is to pop it in and go out wearing it. Walking to the corner store or driving to buy groceries gets a whole lot more interesting when you have this little baby inside you!

Taking care of your Ryder is really easy and it's true what they say on the back of the box "With minimal care, it can last a lifetime".
The Ryder is 100% ultra premium platinum silicone. So it's completely non- porous and sterilisable. You can boil it or bleach it (with a 10% bleach solution). You can use anti- bacterial hand soap or even toss it in the top rack or drawer of your dish washer (no soap).

For storage I keep it in its box, but it could easily be put in a small lint free bag. I would recommend keeping it in something because it does love to collect any kind of lint and dust it can get a hold of. And as I've said in my other reviews, I keep my toys separately. I don't like any of them to touch, but I think if that didn't bother you, you could keep it with other darker anal toys that you have. I wouldn't let it touch anything porous or anything that can take on the colour from other toys by touch because it could possibly transfer some of its pigment.

The Packaging that my Ryder came in was fairly minimal.
Just a plastic box with the name and brand on the front. A small ammount of info on the back about the toy and the manufacturer. Some cleaning instructions as well as a few safety points are included on the back also. On the sides of the box there is a few small pieces of info in other languages and some advertising about Tantus products.
Inside the box, the Ryder is incased in a plastic clam shell to stop it rattling around inside.
Personally, my box is starting to fall apart from being opened and closed too much. So if you plan on using you're Ryder a lot, I would suggest a different form of storage. I am!
