You'll Definitely Want To Ride This Ryde
If you're after a plug that's great quality, easy to wear for extended periods of time including publicly under clothing, not too challenging to slip in, but still a fun little toy to have in your toy box, this is what you want.Published: March 10, 2011

This is just another example of an older toy of mine that's been 'replaced' by something I like more such as my glass plugs and my vibrating silicone ones as well as my shiny metal one. The Tantus Ryder is a plug I still like but its one that has lost my attention due to all my other goodies I've added as of late, as I said though it still will have a place in my toy box due to it being a great comfortable 'mid term' wear plug.

Can we get more toys in Copper?
-
The Ryder in Copper is so pretty. I'd love to see more toys offered in this colour. :) Is that likely to happen at all? I haven't seen it on any other listing. Is this colour discontinued?

Is this colour discontinued?Yes, it sure has been discontinued. It was weird - Copper was a slow seller, and we got some feedback from retailers that it wasn't at all popular. Then when we discontinued last Spring it got snapped up pretty quickly. I only have closeouts left, but we're hoping that by discontinuing Copper we'll have more time in the production schedule to pursue other colors.

Glow in the dark? That's my favorite color! Maybe something black light reactive?

Why should you never use silicone on a silicone toy?

Why should you never use silicone on a silicone toy?

Some, not all silicone lube will 'stick' to silicone material. I have read that some premium silicone lubes will work with some premium silicone materials. You can try some on the base and see, when I last tried it kinda etched the silicone material. (does that make sense) It left a indentation were the lube was.
That's the basics, Some of the other members can give a more technical answer. -
Some silicone lubes will bond to some silicones. This seems to be more of an issue the softer the silicone is, so toys like O2 and VixSkin will be more susceptible (makes sense, as the silicone has fewer crosslinks). Quality lubes seem to have less of a problem also, and it is likely that cheaper silicones might have more of a problem.
I have tested quality silicone lube on several quality silicone toys and did not notice a permanent problem, but (a) the toys developed "hives" that lasted for a few hours (was gone the next day) and (b) it's really hard to clean the silicone lube off of the toys, but it can be done. While this is purely subjective, but it seemed that the silicone lube wasn't as "lubey" on silicone toys. I don't use silicone lube on silicone toys anymore - it's just not worth the trouble.

Is this going to be in stock soon?
-
If you haven't noticed, I've been going over my wishlist (see the O2 discussion) and I've noticed that this plug that I've wanted forever isn't even in stock. Will it be restocked?
-
That's funny. Two of the toys that I want to purchase are out of stock as well. The Vixen Ryder and Johnny. Then I noticed that several Vixen products are out of stock at the moment. I wonder when all of these toys will be restocked.

Welcome! Great review, I'm a huge fan of Tantus toys in general, I just wish this was a bit bigger.
Thank you for the nice review I want to try this one when I have a little more anal experience.
@redvinylkitty yeah me too! as I said if they ever re-release the ryder with more girth and maybe another inch or two in length I'd definitley re-buy it!
@Waterfall personally I was able to handle this one right off the bat anally, but everyone is indeed different
Good review.
This is a great review - now I want one! (and also makes me intrigued with Tantus Toys !)
Thanks for posting, ShadowKitten =^..^=
Oooh. I am a little wary because the tip isn't narrow, but that's because I'm very new to bum play. :/
