Adjustable spreader bar by Kinklab - review by Cock Wrangler

All I knew when I saw this piece of shiny metal equipment was that I wanted it. I didn’t think extensively about the logistics of a spreader bar; though I’m familiar with them, this is my first. It’s an excellent first, too, one that will last indefinitely. My favorite pieces of bondage equipment are multi-functional, and this fits the bill -- mine extends from exactly 23” to 36”, with 8 holes spaced out at 2” intervals along the bar (yes, I measured).

I didn’t have the requisite hardware to attach cuffs to the eye bolts, but shoelaces wrapped around both the bolts and rings on ankle cuffs worked just fine (thin rope would also work well). Since that took a bit of prep, I set it up ahead of time, cuffs firmly attached to the bar set at maximum length. Once my bottom showed up for the night, I had naked on the bed and cuffed in no time. I tied his arms to the headboard with my tethercuffs, and took advantage of his wide-open stance to start caning the insides of his thighs.

Now, he’s a wiggly boy, and I didn’t think ahead about the need to secure the spreader bar to the bed as well as to him. He was able to turn his legs each direction to some degree, though they remained firmly open and vulnerable (just like I wanted them). Once I upped the impact, he got a little to fidgety- knees bent, throwing his legs up in the air to try to escape the blows, and so on. At this point, the spreader bar became a tool to control his movements as well as position him- I grabbed the middle of it and held his legs straight up in the air while continuing the abuse. He’s one of the most active bottoms I’ve ever enjoyed, and the bar held up well under both his thrashing and my manipulation.

Another reviewer noted that the rings attached to the metal adjustment pins might be used for wrist restraints, allowing for complete limb attachment to this one bar. I was excited for that possibility, but upon inspection decided that was not actually doable, for anyone who might pull, at least. The rings are there for pulling the pins out, and I have no doubt that this particular bottom, and probably anyone who struggles against their bondage, would have been able to pop those out in a second. I can imagine a couple more creative positions that might allow for using these rings as attachment points, but they’d have to be ones in which the bound person could only pull on the pins sideways, rather than in line with them (if that makes sense). One of the eye bolts did loosen, but is easily tightened- as long as you check them before use I foresee no problems with that. Also, it easily comes apart into 3 pieces for travel- always a plus!
