Experience
My boyfriend has been whining about wanting me to get a strap-on for ages. The last one we owned was completely uncomfortable and frustrating since it never fit right, so anytime I'd think it would be hot to do strap-on play, I'd be so frustrated with the harness that play would stop as soon as I attempted to put it on.
We haven't had any sort of problem with this one. I love putting it on, and it makes me want to do play more often. (And now he whines more often that he wants it too. Can I consider that a con?)

Still my most favorite harness ever. Really. I can not sing enough praise for those gorgeous harness. It feels like a second skin, fits so perfectly I feel amazingly sex with it on, and can easily support most dildos that I put in it.
Nothing has really changed since we first received it. It knows my measurements from when I first tried it on, and it doesn't change it when I'm not wearing it. I've thrown it in the washing machine, and it comes out just as good as new. All stains/lubricant wash off of it without any sort of a problem.
This harness is possibly the best one out there for plus-sized women. I'm still in love with it.

All of these need to be considered, because strap-on play is different. You need to make sure that you position the dildo so that you get stimulation, and perhaps consider working in a way to increase your stimulation through a vibrator or one of the double dildos. -

I have one of those harnesses and I'm a bigger girl than you are. Granted, I don't have a partner to play with, but I think your partner will be more interested in you using it on them rather than how you look in it. Be confident and secure as you wear it and I bet you'll be--and look--just fine. ;-) Confidence = sexy.

@Thumper: Yes, but unless they were a double-ended dildo, the two dildos might slip around against each other during use.
