Up the arse, eh?

This dildo was very much worth the price - it feels great for anal penetration, doesn't give many problems with a harness (and most of those can be overcome by modifying how you use them together) and is overall a high-quality plaything. Definitely a worthwhile buy.

Pros:
Hypo-allergenic silicone, Large flared base, Smooth uniform texture
Cons:
On the short side, A bit floppy, Collects lint like a...lint-collecting thing.

useful review
I bought the Small Silk in conjunction with the Latigo leather harness and I have to say, it was well worth the money.

My boyfriend (an anal sex beginner) picked the Small Silk, mainly for it's unintimidating size and smooth appearance. He found the non-realistic look to be comforting, and we would say that this is a good dildo for people who are turned off by the idea of explicitly penis-shaped toys (or who aren't' thrilled by the idea of anal sex with all the bumps and ridges that a realistic dildo has).
When used alone, the Small Silk was wonderful for anal play - not much larger than a finger, with a little lube the gently rounded tip provided a smooth entry and the slight curve made for a satisfyingly noticeable presence. I've had quite a bit of fun stealing it from our toy cabinet to use while masturbating. The large, flared base makes it more than safe for anal play while providing a convenient handhold for those solo adventures.

Used vaginally, I found this toy to be a unsatisfying – perhaps because I'm an admitted size queen. For those who prefer slim-line vibes and the like, I'm sure this would be well-suited to you. I don't really feel I'm in a position to disparage the dildo for vaginal use, considering it's not the reason I bought it.
However, when you use this toy with a harness there are a few things you need to be aware of: first, the toy is made solely of silicone, which causes it to be less rigid than I would like. I had a bit of trouble trying to insert it, especially when slippery with lube (not silicone lube though - it'll ruin your toy). Second, the insertable length is a bit on the small side which limits you to smaller (more controlled, but less dramatic) thrusts. I had a bit of a problem with the dildo slipping out; I'm not sure whether to attribute it to the learning curve of suddenly having a penis or to the size of the dildo, although I would tend towards the latter.

As to the material of the toy – I love the smoothness and texture of silicone, as well as the ease in clean up. You can boil this toy, bleach it, run it through the dishwasher (and, now that I think of it, the Small Silk would be lots of fun for aquatic play) – it's incredibly easy to keep sterile. The only problem that I can think of with this toy and cleanliness is that due to the small diameter you may have a problem keeping condoms on.

I also really like the fact that it's hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous and (a big point for me) free of phthalates. I wouldn't have any qualms about recommending this dildo to someone who was worried about sex toy cleanliness; it's about as user-friendly as you can get when it comes to sterilizing.
Experience
Speaking from experience (only with pegging, though), when using this toy with a harness it's best to stay close and adopt more of a rocking motion rather than trying to emulate porn-star style thrusts. I tend to adopt a kneeling position with knees spread - use your partner's hips for leverage. It also helps if you can avoid leaning forward; I've found this causes the dildo to slip out more often.

Have him get on top. I did it with my partner & it was amazing. He could control what he wanted and I was able to please him in other ways. My harness allows for a double dildo, so I got quite the pleasure as well. :)
Thanks for the review & welcome to reviewing! I look forward to more!

Welome to the community. Some silicone is firmer than other--it's really a matter of trying different kinds out. As far as slipping out, that's one very good reason to get a bigger cock. ;)
Seriously, though, more length will help with positioning and motion, even if it never goes all the way in.

    • Has anybody tried the silk with a Theo? I'm concerned about whether or not the base will fit in the "ring" on the harness.

  • Small silk as a beginner anal toy

Hello! I am looking for advice. I'm introducing my wife to anal, but she is a little uncomfortable and concerned about pain. Will Small silk be ok to start practicing anal, or should I go with smth smaller/bigger?

Hi Kval! I think Silk is a wonderful toy for an anal novice. I've used this toy on a couple of anal beginners...it's very good because it's small and very smooth. You should not look for something bigger, she can only move up to a larger toy once she learns to relax the muscles with a smaller one. Good luck!
    • You can always go smaller, with beads, etc. DON'T go bigger, especially if she's apprehensive about it! Start with a finger or two before you buy a toy. If she's not ok with that, then it is silly to waste your money.

And PLEASE remember, Lube is your friend. Use lots of it. When you think you have enough, use some more! Thicker stuff, like Maximus, is really good in these situations.
