I am always cautious going into a situation with hot wax, mostly because of how different people use it. For this product, I went with it for use in erotic massage. As I lit it, I found it melted down to a semi-thick liquid wax. I find this very easy to work with. It melted down very quickly and stayed as a liquid for a decent amount of time. The smell was very light and pleasant, and yet filled the room quickly. The wax made for easy use, making the skin slick and easy to run across with my hands.

The texture of the candle itself was your standard bees-wax type feel, smooth across the top. When lit, the candle melted into a semi-thick puddle of wax. It was thick enough to coat my fingers, but when peeled off, it was not a very thick casing around my skin. It is very easy to pour from the candle, and once it hits the skin, it solidified fairly quickly. Depending on how much I poured at once, it sometimes rolled or allowed me to move it around before it solidified, but only in larger amounts. It left a soft, smooth feel to the skin when removed, and a light, waxy feel when on the skin itself.

The smell of this candle was extremely pleasant. Before it was lit, it had a very subtle waxy scent, with a hint of vanilla rising when it was sniffed at. Once lit, the scent rolled out, enough to leave the whole room smelling of vanilla. It was not overpowering; instead, it was very light and flowery, making the room smell of fresh vanilla. The taste of this, when left on skin, was your typical waxy taste, slightly soapy with little to no vanilla taste at all.

The product seemed to do fairly well. Once lit, it burned until I blew it out (in this case we kept it going for about 45 minutes no problem). Once melted down, the wax stayed liquid until it was removed from the heat source of the wick. In small amounts, it solidified as soon as it hit the skin; in large amounts, it took a couple seconds to harden, but it was still relatively quickly. It peeled right off the skin for removal, leaving no marks. When the flame was put out, the candle itself re-hardened fairly quickly. I love how easy it was for it to melt down, and the fact that there was so much maintainability for it.

I liked the tin for this product. It was very easy to open and close, with a firm lid that did not easily slip or slide off. The label was very pretty and easy to read, but playing with the wax too much did make the label semi-greasy. The sides could get a little greasy, but were easy to wipe off and clean up. It is very easy to take this with you, it being a small enough size to tuck into luggage or a purse.
