Too Oily.

These are okay massage candles, but they certainly wouldn’t be my first choice, especially for the price. I might have appreciated these a bit more if I had chosen the vanilla scent rather than fruit punch, but the oily feeling left behind would prevent these from being number one on my list regardless.

Tantric Massage Candles with pheromones are made by the manufacturer California Exotic Novelties. These candles are all-natural, with a soy wax base and are not tested on animals. The candle arrives in a circular black tin. The cap contains the title, California Exotics logo, and flavor. The bottom of the tin lists the ingredients found in the candle, which I will list below, as well as instructions and other assorted information. Once the cap is removed this candle becomes very discreet and looks just like any other candle.

This candle is very fragrant, you can smell it the second the cap is removed and the scent increases when the candle is burned. Compared to my other massage candles I was surprised by how hard the wax is before it’s melted. When melted the wax can be easily poured or applied to the skin with the candles included spoon. Although it makes for a fantastic massage the wax does not sink into the skin like my Jimmy Jane, Afterglow massage candle, but rather leaves an oily residue wherever it’s applied, meaning its best used when you can follow up your massage session with a nice steamy bath or shower.

I chose the scent listed as Passion fruit/ vanilla on the Eden Fantasy’s site. I was quite disappointed when my candle arrived. There are no references to vanilla on the candle, and it smells strongly of fruit punch without a whiff of vanilla in sight. I am not a huge fan of fruity scents, but was hoping for a stronger vanilla scent with hints of fruit punch, that is obviously not the case. However if you’re a fan of fruity scents this candle may be perfect for you.

The ingredient’s listed are: Glycine Soja Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Prunus Armenia Kernel Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima Oil, Frgrence, Tocopherol, Copulandrone, Copuline-alike, Reconstructed Androne.

Overall these are okay massage candles; I’d probably like them more if I’d chosen to opt for the plain vanilla. Regardless of scent however, given the option between these and Jimmy Jane’s Afterglow candles, I would choose Afterglow every time.
