The Tantric massage candle with pheromones by California Exotic Novelties is designed to work for couples as a candle that melts into a massage oil. The massage oil is used for giving your partner an erotic massage by rubbing the oil into the skin. The candle boasts a 60 hour burning time which is quite long for such a small candle. be sure to keep your wick trimmed and allow the candle to melt all the way across to have it burn for the maximum amount of time.







Today is my first time burning it, so I'll have to update and let everyone know if it will make it to the 60 hour time frame. The Tantric massage candle will work for any gender and any couple situation. It's best to be used in an area without any wind. I used it indoors because just by moving it into another room, the flame tried to go out. If at all possible, try to use in a room that doesn't have any wind blowing near the candle, such as heat or air conditioning. The heat vent in my bedroom almost made the candle go out. It can be used outside if there are no wind gusts.

The The Tantric massage candle oil does get massaged into the skin so please test for allergic reactions to the product. Everyone's skin reacts in different ways. Just because it worked well for my skin doesn't mean that it will work the same way for yours. It didn't cause any problems with me or my partner. My skin didn't itch or have any red areas after use. This massage oil is not intended to be used as a lubrication for sexual intercourse. These ingredients are not safe for internal use. This is a waxy oil and can cause many problems if placed inside an orifice or mucous membrane. Please use caution when pouring the candle wax as it can splatter and burn if not careful. The Tantric massage candle is great for foreplay and it really sets the mood.

The texture of the The Tantric massage candle is just like a hard wax before being burned and it's very greasy. The candle is soy based wax. The wax has a slick texture but it's very hard until melted. I can slide my fingers around the candle and it gives an oily feeling on my fingertips after I remove them. Once the The Tantric massage candle is melted for just about 10 minutes, the texture is creamy and thick. I can still move the creamy liquid around but only a little bit. The longer that it melts, the less creamy it becomes. It took about 30-40 minutes for it to pool nicely around the flame into an actual transparent liquid. It took about an hour for the full top to become liquid. I've noticed that it varies by the temperature in the room as well. If you are in a warm room, the candle will liquify faster than being in a room with a cold draft or central air. I'd imagine that it could possibly melt nicely without a flame on a hot summer day. I'm going to keep that in mind for future use.

I like the feel of the oil when it's first poured. I tried to massage with it as soon as I poured it onto my skin and after it was on there a while. Both times, I got the same end result. The candle turned to a waxy feel early on, even before I was finished massaging the skin. It felt thickened and hard on my skin and I didn't care for that feeling. It was greasy and sticky and sticking to my skin.
I immediately tried to wash it off but it didn't come off easily with tap water. I used warm next and it came off a bit easier, but the best way to wash it off was to use very hot water. The wax doesn't absorb into the skin well. It left a layer of waxy film, which I did not like. The candle poured easily but when pouring, it left some of the wax on the side of the candle tin. When the wax was very hot, it ran down my hand fairly quickly. Once cooler air hit it, it hardened up. The water did bead up on my hand in the area where the wax was. It also become thick feeling.

The scent of the Tantric massage candle is very fruity. It has a very strong scent when it's placed in a small room. The scent continues to linger for a good 20 or 30 minutes after the flame has been diffused. If you like the smell, you can leave the lid off to use as a room refresher, otherwise, just slip the top back on and put the candle away. Just make sure that the candle has cooled down to room temperature before placing on delicate surfaces. Be careful when moving the candle with hot liquid, it can cause burns if it was allowed to get too hot.
When I use the candle, I place it about 6-7 feet away from me because of how strong the scent is. The passion fruit smells good when it's not lit. My opinion is that the Tantric massage candle would work great in a very large room. This would cut down on how strong the smell is.

In my personal opinion, this candle smells like the Love Spell scent from Victoria's Secret. As soon as I opened the lid for the first time, I immediately thought of that fragrance. I actually own some of the Love Spell sprays and they smell nice, except this candle is just too strong in a small, closed in area.

With this candle having ingredients in it that should never be ingested, I didn't taste this candle. This candle is not one of the edible massage candles. Please use for external body use only.

You can smell the scent on the skin if you are relatively close to the person.

The massage candle worked nice for the first 5 minutes and lasted about 5-9 minutes total for massage use. After the 5-9 minutes, it started to harden on my hand and that didn't work so well for a longer massage. The natural ingredients were a nice touch to the candle. It's always nice to see a candle with a minimal amount of ingredients. This helps people who are prone to allergic reactions.

I used a few spoonfuls of the oil to put on my hand and arm. It worked better when I poured it because as soon as the wax hit the spoon, it tried to harden if the spoon was a cold temperature. It never fully absorbed into my skin because of the way that the wax hardened. I liked using it for the first 5 minutes when it was still warm and in liquid form. I'm going to try it in a hot room soon, to see if I receive the same results. The smell is nice but it can be strong if you are close to it. It doesn't feel as natural as I'd hoped. I did reapply a few times.

The candle arrived in a plastic bag and the tin can measures at 2 x 3 x 10 inches. The candle is 6 oz. or 170 grams.

The candle is in a black tin that is circular in shape. The bottom of the tin is solid black except for a sticker at the bottom. The sticker on the bottom has the burn time, ingredients, basic instructions for use, distributor information, other information about the company and a bar code.

The top or lid of the tin is black with a red banner and red scrolls. There is white lettering that reads 'Tantric' - Massage Candle with Pheromones. It also has the scent listed on the tin, which is Passion Fruit and 6 oz.

This candle would be suitable for travel because it's not very heavy and it's compact in size. The wax is a cream-white color and the small spoon is white. The spoon is 3" long. The tin does not have any information about recycling. You could always contact a local recycling facility to see if it accepts this material once the candle tin is empty.

The candle looks like a normal candle that anyone would have in their household. You can leave this out and no one would know that it was for sensual massage, unless they picked it up and looked at the bottom or red the top. It's nice to be able to pour the wax out or use the included spoon to place onto the body.

Upon my first use of the candle, I left the wick long. This allowed the candle to stay lit without any problems of going out, except with the problem of air circulating around the candle. I've already trimmed up my wick for my second use. I had no problems with the candle going out when there were no air sources around.

I'm going to give the massage candle another try on a warmer day to see if that may change any of the texture of the candle. I'm going to try the other smells to see if they are as strong. If you live in a warmer climate, this candle may work well for you.

I am an avid massage candle collector and I really like the Kama Sutra and the Shunga candles more than this one. Both the Kama Sutra and the Shunga candles do not leave a waxy residue on the skin. They blend and absorb nicely.
