Cons:
Ummmmm....none.
I ordered the Cucumber Melon Afterglow Massage Candle along with the Contour M Massager and the Contour I + Beyond Euphoric Sensory Set (we also got the BSwish BWarm Massage Candle ) and I promptly put them all on the shelf. Turns out, finding time to give your lover a massage is not easy around the holidays. Fortunately the world decided to stand still for us on a Friday evening. We took advantage and spent a few quality hours in front of our fireplace rediscovering each other’s touch.
Using the Afterglow massage is quite easy. Simply light the candle and let it burn for at least five minutes. What you want is for a melt pool to form that contains a sufficient amount of massage oil. Once you have melted enough oil, blow out the candle and drip it on your lovers’ skin. Because the waxes used in the Afterglow have a very low melting point, the oil will be perfectly warmed to relax and soothe your lover without burning them. (Caveat: don’t order in the dog days of summer unless you are home to receive your order….also be sure to store away from sources of heat.) The scent of the Cucumber Melon is light and refreshing and wafted into the air. On Mrs. Peg’s skin it lingered deliciously for hours. As a massage oil it performs wonderfully. The slip is just wonderful, it absorbs slowly, and it leaves your lover’s skin soft, supple, and hydrated.
Ingredients include: soybean oil, shea butter, palmarosa oil, jojoba oil, aloe vera, and vitamin E. The candle itself is 4.5 ounces and should burn for 32 hours, except for the fact that you are pouring the fuel all over your lover.
The Afterglow Massage Candle comes in a holder that is about 2.5 inches in all dimensions. Like much of the rest of the JimmyJane line, it is made from a simple white porcelain that is glazed. One corner of the cube-like holder is pulled in to create a little spout. This is perfect for pouring the warmed oil onto your lover’s skin. One thing about the glaze that should be noted is that it is slippery when trying to hold it with oiled hands. I highly recommend keeping your pinky finger under it and holding the corners adjacent to the spout while pouring. This ensures that the Afterglow will not slip out of your hands.
The Afterglow Massage Candle and the Contour M Massager are also available from Eden Fantasys as the Knead Me Massage Set for $5 less than you pay for them individually. Unfortunately, at the time of order, the set was out of stock.
We would definitely recommend this to others without qualification. It is a great product that performs perfectly for its intended purpose.

This is a great product. Note the period at the end of that statement. There really isn't much more to say about it other than it makes a great gift.

Jimmy Jane Afterglow candles- Best Scent?
-
what's the best Jimmy Jane afterglow scent? or the better ones?
-
Well, first off, there are lots of threads on the scent of these candles already. But ignoring that, I think it's really up to your preference in smell.
In my experience, all the scents are fairly high quality, so it just depends on what you like. I personally favor the Dark Vanilla and Bourbon scents. My good friend prefers the Water Cucumber, while it is totally not for me. Some people love the Truffle Gardenia, but it's comparatively very floral. I would really like to try the Vetiver Honey in the ember series.
My recommendation would be to go with what is most similar to your usual favorite scent. Sweet edibles? Masculine spices? Flowers? Citrus? Or you could always try the sampler. More expensive but awesome :-) -

The special edition scents look tempting, but I would also like to make sure I purchase something both my partner and I would like. Also I kind of wanted to get a general sense of what is most widely liked. Which I feel I could have gotten with a poll, but unfortunately I am not sure how to do that. I did see a post explaining that to post a poll it the option is next to the post discussion option, but I have seen no such poll option.

Can you describe the scents of the Afterglow massage candles from Jimmyjane?
-
If your own words and from your own personal experience can you please describe what the different scents are like? I'm having trouble deciding on which ones to get. Thanks! =]

I did a review on the Afterglow Sampler set, but this is what I have with the scents.
Cucumber Water smells like a crisp, clear, watered down version of a cucumber melon scent, and is quite possibly my favorite. Pink Lotus has a decidedly floral scent to it; not overpowering but definitely there. It's hard to pinpoint anything more specific than "floral" for me on that one. Truffle + Gardenia (the special edition one, also available as a regular Ember candle) is also hard for me to pinpoint. It smells like an earthy floral to me, a more involved scent. Bourbon smells sweet to me, almost like molasses or something else I'd bake with. Dark Vanilla still smells like a generic "vanilla cookie" scent to me. And Grapefruit. To me, there's a hint of citrus and a whole lot more of something I can't put my finger on. When I first smelled it I thought back to the Habanero + Grapefruit mini Ember I have, only this is a little less spicy to the nose. JJ claims notes of grapefruit, bell peppers, and mandarin for this one. -
Thanks! I think the ones I want to try most are Dark Vanilla, Cucumber Water, and the Truffle Gardenia... and the Bourbon. Jeez I want to smell them all. Choosing which to buy online is difficult but I'm sure whichever one I choose I'll love it anyway. =]

Afterglow Packaging

I was just curious - Jimmyjane has changed the style of the Afterglow candle to the "pour spout" that's rocked by the Ember. Is EF still selling the old style with the brush as indicated by the picture?
FYI I'm in favor of the pour divot format! -
This is something I'd like to know, too. *Bump*
-
The new version features a spout for easy pouring and that is what currently available on EF.
