I have admired the Liberator props for ages, but the price was something I could not justify. I saw this wedge which was cheaper than their other similar items, so I decided to indulge. Another issue besides the prices of the other items was that they were obviously not just decorative items and we have very limited space to store things. This heart shaped wedge was perfect in that respect because it looks like a decorative accent on our bed. We got the red - the color is a nice, rich red and looks very tasteful.

We thought no one would question it, but with media what it is and mature content available everywhere, my 14 year old son looked at it said "Please tell me that's just a pillow." My mother was also visiting at the time and gave me "the look". I tried to act innocent. I'm not sure either of them fell for it. Then to make matters worse, even though the tag is tasteful and has no sexual explicit photos, it does say Liberator and my son informed me that a well-known comic must have been making jokes that mentioned Liberator positioning devices. I assume he saw the tag, but I didn't comment and he didn't say more. Anyway, my point - it may not be quite as discreet as you would think. :)

We are a middle-aged married couple with a half dozen kids, so the days of wild imaginations and acrobats are behind us (if they ever existed - I can't remember). However, even with our limited repertoire of sexual positions and acts, we found the wedge to provide a change of pace, turning the "same old" into new sensations and making other positions easier to do and maintain.

The pillow measures approximately 18" in width and 14" from the tip to the tallest part. Thickness ranges from 1.5" at the tip to 6.5" at the thickest part. It doesn't look as high as it felt to me. It is very firm. After the initial challenge of getting appropriately positioned, I found it to be quite comfortable and provided adequate support to my lower spine and pelvis.

The outside of the pillow feels soft and velvety like microfiber. It is very nice against your skin. The cover zips off and underneath, there is a waterproof liner than can also be zipped off if needed. Beneath that is the foam wedge. It is soft enough to be comfortable, yet firm enough to provide adequate support during use. The waterproof liner can be easily wiped clean and really shouldn't need to come off, although it's nice to have that option. The cover washes well and slides back on easily over the waterproof liner. The foam maintains its shape use after use.

For performing oral sex, my hubby stated it provided much easier access for him and allowed him to maintain a more comfortable position (we all know these things can take awhile sometimes).

For use during sex with me on my back, I found it to be very comfortable and tilted my pelvis into a position that provided an entirely new sensation as opposed to laying flat. It allows him to hit a different area and it was very pleasurable. I wouldn't say it felt like it hit my G-Spot because I'm not entirely sure I have one (LOL), but it definitely felt good. It also provides deeper penetration without him cutting off my breathing or practically dislocating my hips trying to get my legs way up in his own way. He said that it was comfortable on his part and took some of the typical strain off his back and knees.

For use during sex with me on my stomach, I was surprised at how incredibly comfortable it made that position. Before getting the Liberator, I didn't much like it as I felt my behind was over-exposed and raised enough for all the countries to see. I also had difficult maintaining proper positioning and the thrusting from him tended to make me slide upward on the bed and we'd have to stop and reposition. Plus it just sometimes hit a "bad spot" in that position. Using the Liberator, we can do it ON the bed which is a huge improvement. It raises my behind enough so that I am comfortably accessible, yet not to the point where it's downright embarrassing. The pillow didn't slide much during thrusting so it was easy to maintain good positioning. It was actually quite relaxing - I could have taken a nap (if it wouldn't have offended my hubby - LOL). It also seems to have solved the issue of him hitting that uncomfortably sensitive spot I seem to have.

For use during sex with him on the bottom, I thought maybe it would help make it easier for me. I was hoping with his hips raised, it would be less stressful on my legs because I wouldn't have to go down as far. However, it didn't really make a difference in that aspect. Although he liked the different positioning on his part, I just can't maintain it very long with or without the pillow.

It arrived in the cardboard shipper box packaged in a see-through plastic bag with a Liberator hang tag. No specific instructions, although I guess that's fairly obvious. There was a Liberator catalog included outside the bag packed loosely in the shipper box. I was curious to see the other products they offered. The first few pages showed skinny, perfect people modelling the products in skimpy lingerie which would have been annoying enough, but then after that, most of the people were completely nude and modeled performing sex acts. Now, we aren't prudes - we like to enjoy a healthy, active sex life in our marriage. However, we do not watch pornography (not even the "soft" porn as in HBO, Cinemax, etc) nor do we have any pornographic material in our home. Even though it only showed boobs and not the genital region, I really did not appreciate it and I immediately disposed of catalog without looking through it. I thought the company could have showed better taste than that.

The outside cover can be spot cleaned or taken off and put in your washer and dryer. There is a waterproof liner that can also be removed (although you shouldn't need to) that protects the foam wedge inside.
