Throe Me Down Again!
We both believe that any couple needs a throe if you want to have sex anywhere and anytime, but don't want to create a mess where you choose to do so.Published: June 8, 2011
Pros:
Fun, easy to use, easy to clean, makes making love anywhere possible.
Cons:
Small point, it is a little small to fully cover the top of a king size bed.
We love this throe. We have had ours now for about 18 months. It allows us to enjoy getting it on wherever we want; on top of the bed, on the sofa, on the floor....wherever the mood strikes. The microfiber material is soft and comfortable, but then again so is the silky smooth side. We often ask each other whether tonight is a "soft night or a silky night" when putting it down. The throe is designed to work with the other Liberator pillows, etc to keep from sliding on the smooth fiber side. On the silky side, your pillows will slide around if you are on a hard surface.
The throe accomplishes several things for us. It lets us play where we want without worrying about body fluids, and lubricant stains or spills on places like the sofa. It also lets us use allot of lubricant. Finally, it lets us have an extra blanket at the foot of the bed for my wife to quickly pull up if she wants.
The throe, as advertised, is washable with your regular clothes. We recommend washing it first, just like you would some new clothes, before the first use. The material holds up well and stains come right out. We have used it regularly now for over a year, and neither of us has ever noticed any odor to it nor noticed that we develop any type of reaction from lying on it.
We have gotten so used to having the throe that we sometimes forget what wet spots on the sheets, stains on the sheets and so forth were like before we got it. We love using it together with our Liberator wedge and ramp on top of the bed or on the floor. It is also fun to throw into the back of the car for long trips both as a blanket and for playtime in hotels or other places where you are not sure how clean the bedding is.

Experience
We have fallen in love with our throe, and have gotten used to having it around. Liberator is to be commended for coming up with a winner for keeping playtime contained. We only have one observation. We wish that it came in actual bed sizes for queen/king size beds. The throe is a little too small to fully cover our king bed. It would be nice if it completely covered the top of the bed.

We still love our Throe. It gets used regularly. We have now had it two years and it still looks and feels great. Great investment in our "fun life."

I definitely soaked through one of these just now. Like, through to the carpet I had it spread out on. :( Thankfully it wasn't too bad and should dry soon, but... isn't that supposed to be impossible? I mean, I was gushing like crazy, but still!
Has anyone else had this happen? I've had this blanket for a few months and this never happened before (at least not that I realized). Dang it, I hope it's not damaged... -

I can't comment on if its ever happened, beings I don't own one (yet lol), but good luck next time!

I've heard of the waterproof layer wearing out (after more than a year, though--might have been a few years? Can't remember where I read it). In any case, these blankets don't last forever, I don't believe.
A few months seems awfully quick, though. Wish I had a suggestion for you!

Why no light colours for the Liberator throe?

After reading all the positive reviews, I'd love to try the throe, but none of the colours available would work for me. I don't want animal prints or dark colours. Why aren't there any light colours? White or beige would work for many people, and not be as blatantly sex related as red and purple.

Black doesn't seem like a good color to pick for something that will be catching bodily fluids. I'd much prefer a baby blue Throe. We just got the purple and figured oh well to matching. If a baby blue came out I would buy that.

We so need one of these. We still do what we call "baby possum" where I hang on to his neck while we lift together trying to find something to help keep the sheets from getting messy! We're never prepared! hahaha! Great review, thank you!
