Liberator shag throe - throw discontinued by Liberator - review by removedacnt

Having to deal with wet spots has been an issue for my husband and I ever since we started having sex. And I absolutely hate having to get up right afterward to clean up anything, especially the whole bed. So when I heard about the Liberator Shag Throe I was pretty excited. I did have some initial concerns at first about it's size and the fact that one side is satin. And those concerns did prove to be somewhat true. But I still really like it and am very glad we bought it.

For anyone who isn't familiar with this, the Liberator Shag Throe is a 54” by 71” waterproof throe that absorbs any and all wet messes that happen during sex, whether it be lube, oils, lotions or ejaculates. This throe can handle them all and come out of the washer and dryer good as new.

We have a queen sized bed and I would have preferred this to be a bit larger. When laid down the correct way it doesn't quite fit our bed. So we lay it across the bed with the shorter width at the top and bottom and the longer hanging over the bed. That solves the problem for us pretty well. We have also tried it on the living room floor, where we had a bit of a problem with the satin sliding with our movements. We ended up having to flip it over so the fur/shag part was down on the floor.

The outer layers are extremely soft and comfortable. The shag side is made of a plush faux fur that feels very nice. The satin side is very soft and silky and is made of polyester. In the middle is a nylon barrier to keep moisture from getting through. And it does that very well. We have used it every time we've had sex since we got it and it absorbs everything and keeps the bed nice and dry. It is all bordered nicely with microfiber and stitched together very well.

This is not a very thick throe though. I thought there would be more batting in it and was a bit surprised by its thinness. It's about a thick as a quilt, as opposed to a comforter. I was also surprised when I took it out of the packaging that it made crinkling noises when moved. I'm hoping that the more I wash it, the more that will decrease, because it does annoy me a bit.

We got this in the purple which is a medium shade on the shag side and a lighter shade on the satin side. It came in a clear plastic box surrounded by pictures and information about it. I had read in a couple of previous review that it came with a storage bag, but mine did not have anything like that. I'm not sure if they just don't include that any longer.

According to Liberator, to clean this just machine wash on cold and dry on low heat. I have washed and dried it once and it came out good as new.

Even though this isn't the perfect solution for us, it is definitely the best one at the moment. Actually it's the best one we've had so far. We can get quite messy and I get tired of having to choose between changing the bedding when I'm tired or sleeping in the wet spots. Not to mention what oils, etc can do to our bedding. I love not having to worry when we make a mess. Now we just fold up our throe, toss it into a corner, and just worry about washing it on laundry day. Which gives us more time to cuddle on a nice dry bed.

This is one of those things that you didn't know you needed until you have it. And now that you have it, you can't live without it.

I've come to love and appreciate my shag throe more and more every time we make love. And even though the size doesn't completely cover a queen sized mattress, it does cover it well enough. And the size makes it very convenient to just grab and throw on the floor or couch when we are playing in the living room.

I have already washed it several times. And every time it comes out of the washer and dryer good as new.
