Sure, you can use a towel, but the Liberator Shaw Throw is so much softer, so much sexier, and way better quality. Makes fun time less worrisome and easier to clean up. And like all Liberator products, you won't regret adding it to your collection!

In our bedroom... well, in the entire house, we have an issue with things getting a little messy. (For those who don't understand why, search the forums for the reality on the squirting myth) Sure, we've used towels, even the giant beach towels, but towels just only hold so much moisture. And being big fans of Liberator products, it was only natural to want to try the Shag Throw.
When it arrives, it comes in a really nice quality plastic package. Nothing like toys or other stuff at warehouse stores, but more of a soft package like bedding would come in (I actually held on to it for a while looking for a way to reuse it, but in the end finally gave up and tossed it out). It's a bit larger than the largest of beach towels, and on our king size bed will cover about 2/3 of the bed.
It's got two sides of different materials. The top is covered in an incredibly soft and furry material that makes any encounter on it feel amazing. It's incredibly plush, and no matter what you do on it, you'll be comfortable, without having to worry about rug burns or the like. On the reverse side is a fairly smooth surface. Depending upon what you're using the throw on top of, the surface can be so smooth that it easily moves around. And somewhere in between are the magical waterproof layers that keep any moisture from moving from the top of the throw through to the bottom (and thus wetting whatever you're on top of... be it bedding or the sofa, or something else).
Aside from being incredibly convenient to whip out and cover wherever we're playing, it's great to roll or fold up and throw in the laundry. It's very machine washer safe, coming out of the washer and drawer with all of our other towels in great condition, ready for the next romp.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it3 months after original review
The only down side to owning and using this shag for several years, and this really is my only complaint, is that after using and washing it so much, it starts to color fade (but what doesn't). This is a true testament to how much we love our Liberator throe. I've even considered buying a second one to have around!
