If you fall into the category of a woman who sometimes needs a little help in the natural lubrication department right at the beginning of sex but once you get going you're perfectly fine? This lube would work for you. If you're looking for something that will last longer than a few minutes? Keep looking.

Use

In theory, this is a great lubricant because not only will it provide you with all sorts of awesome lubey pleasures, it's also completely natural. I say "in theory" because well, it really only meets half of those things; being completely natural. While it doesn't excel at being an amazing lube, it does excel at not leaving you feeling gross after use.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

It's on the thicker side of water based lubes, staying put pretty well. In a larger squeezing, it'll drip. But in smaller quantities, it'll stay in place and not drip much. Between the fingers, it feels really nice... For about 30 seconds, and then it feels like you never put any lube on to begin with.

Taste / Aroma

I really couldn't detect any real smell to it at all, and it doesn't really seem to have much of a taste either. I licked an area it had been applied to and got a mild tingling on my tongue, but that was about it really.

Performance

Oh man, this had the potential to be really awesome. At first, it feels great. Nice and slippery, meshes pretty well with vaginal juices. But then it just sort of disappears. Whether it's between the fingers or between an orifice and a penetrating object, it's just not going to last. If there's an area of skin that it's touching, the skin will soak it all up. The downside? Frequent reapplication. The upside? My skin actually felt softer afterwards, and it didn't leave me feeling goopy or gross at all.

You probably won't have to wash this off at all, but if you do, you can use a wipe or even just a damp washcloth.

Packaging

There are 3 sizes that you can buy this lube in, and I chose the smallest sample pack. It's really tiny, and if you like this lube a lot, it's a good choice for easy, on the go, single use lube. The little sample pack is, like I said, little. It holds about .17 fluid ounces, and even with as tiny as it is, it still manages to list the ingredients and everything else in a readable print. The ingredients truly are all natural, being purified water, plant cellulose (from cotton), aloe barbadensis, natural tocopherols (vitamin E0, cyamopsis (guar conditioners), hibiscus, extracts of flax, green tea & sunflower, citric acid (citrus fruits), and phenoxyethanol (rose ether). It's vegan friendly, but if you have any allergies or sensitivities to aloe, you should avoid this still.

The little pouch itself seems to be made of cardboard. To open it, you just bend and tear off the little tab at the top.

Personal comments

I'm not sure how well this will keep once opened, so you're probably best off using it all up as quickly as you can.

Experience

I'm not really on the search for a new "go to" lube, but I do like trying different ones here and there. I'm pretty set with the ones I have, but I couldn't pass up a sample pack of one I had never tried before. I'm so torn on this. It feels awesome! For about 30 seconds, then it just disappears. It would work pretty well for a woman who just needs a little bit of lube to get started, but if you need the lube to last the whole time, this is definitely not going to do it for you. I don't always like a lot of thrusting during my solo sessions, so this did work pretty well for just letting me get something inside of me and then just moving it around a little bit. But that was about all it was good for.

As cool as this lube could have been, I can really only recommend it to women who just need a little bit of help right at the beginning of sex, and then make enough of their own lubrication afterwards.

Follow-up commentary I still like it 3 months after original review

To be honest, I'm still a little torn on this. I hadn't used up the whole packet when I wrote the review and I tucked the packet into the little drawer that holds all the rest of my lube. I was digging through there for something else and stumbled back on this lube packet. Surprisingly enough even though it was "open" the whole time it hadn't dried out at all. So I gave it another shot. I squeezed about half of what was left onto my arm to test it out and make sure it was still good, and while quickly rubbing it around my arm I saw the foaming that other reviews had mentioned. I was ok with that, and tried it again with my husband and I'm left with the same impression I had before; that it's good for starting out but not if you need lube the whole time. While that works fine for me, I doubt I'll be buying any more in the future because I have so many other lubes that work just as well or better.
