Blue Raspberry Heaven

The Sliquid Swirl is a tasteful pleasant smelling lube, that is water-based and compatible with most toys. It is glycerin free and sugar free. It is also hypoallergenic, L-Arginine free, and Petro- chemical free. It does contain aspartame so anyone sensitive to this ingredient should be cautious. The lube lasts an adequate amount of time and is easily reactivated with only a few drops of water or saliva.

Use

The Sliquid Swirl can be used with any type of materials, including silicone. It can be used with any type of condoms too. It can be used for oral, vaginal, or anal use. It is water-based, will not stain, and is non-toxic. It is hypoallergenic and is glycerin free so the risk of yeast infections is reduced. It is also L-Arginine free – a chemical that can induce asthma attacks in people who have asthma. It is also petrochemical free- a chemical agent that can cause damage to vital organs if used over a long period of time.

The Sliquid swirl is a great lube for anyone who wants to add some flavor to oral, or for anyone who just wants a little more lubrication that what is naturally present. This lube can be used for solo play, partner play, or play with toys. It is a very versatile lube.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This lube has the consistency of corn syrup. It is thick enough that you can handle it and not drip everywhere. However, it is not so thick that you have to squeeze the bottle hard to get the lube to come out. The opening of the bottle is the perfect size to allow the lube to flow out. It wasn't gooey or sticky, although it did dry up pretty quickly. However, a few drops of water or saliva quickly reactivated the lube. A small amount of lube, about the size of a dime, is all that is required.

Taste / Aroma

It also comes in four different flavors: Cherry Vanilla, Pina Colada, Green Apple Tart, and Blue Raspberry. I ordered the Blue Raspberry. When it arrived, I opened it and tasted a small drop on my finger. The smell was a pleasant smell of berries and when I tasted the lube, it was a very berry taste. There wasn't any nasty aftertaste.

Performance

This lube worked well when used between people and also with toys. It lasted a fair amount of time, and when it did dry out, it was reactivated with a few drops of water or saliva. I did not have to reapply it throughout the time we were playing around. Afterward, clean up was pretty simple, just a wash cloth and a little soap and all was fine.

Packaging

The lube comes in a 4.2 ounce bottle. The blue raspberry flavor comes with a blue lid and a blue tone label. The lube is clear. The lid is a flip top style lid that can be handled with one hand. Under the lid is a silver medicine type seal that is easily removed.

Special Features

One of the special feature that I found with this lube is the wonderful taste and smell associated with it. The biggest feature for me, is that it is sugar free and diabetic friendly.

Personal comments

I have tried several different lubes, especially sugar free lubes since both hubby and I are diabetic. This lube has one of the best flavors I have found so far. The blue raspberry flavor is the only one I have tried, but I look forward to trying other flavors. This lube has not made either of our blood sugars elevated after using it.

Experience

I got this lube for us to try out since we are both diabetic, and sugar free lubes are somewhat hard to find. I love flavored lubes, especially when giving hubby oral sex. The flavor lasted the entire time I used it, and although it was slightly sticky when it dried up, it was not something that was bothersome. Hubby applied some to the toy we were using at the time and insertion was a breeze. It is so compatible with toys that using it will be something that we do often.

Follow-up commentary
This continues to be one of our favorite lubes, and is usually the first one we pull out of our lube box. The consistency and smell have remained intact, and it continues to do a great job. I have not noticed that it dries out any faster after several months than it did when we first got it. After two months and many uses, there is still about 1/2 of the bottle left. We will definitely be ordering more of this in the future.

This is one of my all time favorite lubes! I love it so much I bought the green apple and cherry/vanilla too! It dries out kind of fast for us too and I don't use it for anal because of that but this lube NEVER causes any irritation or burning with me! I think you really did it justice with your review.     • Just wondering if anyone knows how these lubricants work for someone who is really sensitive to lubricants? I've only tried one Sliquid product previously, but I really liked it, so just wondering!
    • It depends, what do you mean by sensitive? Are there certain items in a lubricant that cause you to itch, come out in a rash, or what? Hard to know unless you give us more detail.
    • To be honest, I don't really know what the problem is. I usually have no luck with any lubricants that are warming, cooling, tingling etc. They cause a lot of burning and itching. I just can't stand them! I haven't really tried any flavored lubes, because I didn't want to risk it. I've tried the organics line of the sliquid and I really like them (and they don't cause any discomfort), so I was debating about trying one of their flavored ones. Just to give it a go and see if it works.
