Maximus is a versatile lube that will easily work for just about anyone. It can be used for solo play, toy play, vaginal sex, and anal sex. Using it for oral doesn't seem like a good idea as it does have an unpleasant taste. I love using it with my toys and with my boyfriend. It's also his favorite lube to use with his Maven sleeve. I have not tried it in the bath or shower, so I am not sure how well it would hold up with the addition of water.

Since this is a water-based lube, it is safe to use with all of your toys, which is a big plus for me. I like not having to worry about which lube I reach for. This lube is so great that I don't really see a reason for keeping another type of lube in the bedroom.

One drawback, though, is that this lube does contain parabens, which some people may be sensitive to. So, avoid this lube if you know that parabens can be a problem for you.

Ingredients:
Highly purified water, Propylene glycol, Cellulose polymer DiSodium, EDTA Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben

The texture of this lube is amazing. It's very smooth and has just the perfect amount of slickness. To me, it feels pretty close to a woman's natural lubrication. In the bottle, it looks like it would have more of a jelly-like texture, but it comes out very smoothly.

Since this lubricant comes in a pump, it is very easy to dispense. It also stays in place very well and is thick enough that it doesn't run all over the place. Plus, there is no stickiness or greasiness to contend with. I can't say enough good things here!

Maximus doesn't really seem to have a smell. Even when I place a drop directly under my nose, I can't smell anything. This is nice because there is no chemical smell to distract from play time. It does, however, have a rather bitter and unpleasant chemical taste. So, it's not great for oral. That's really the worst thing I can say about this lube. I don't normally use lube for oral, so I don't see this being a problem for me.

When used for vaginal sex, Maximus lasted quite a while. We didn't have to reapply at all. For anal, we did have to reapply once over the course of half an hour or so, which really wasn't a big deal to us since the lube felt so wonderful and made for such a pleasurable experience. When used with toys vaginally, I also didn't have to reapply over a period of about half an hour. So, all in all, it lasts quite well.

Another great thing about this lube is that you can literally just wipe it off when you're done. This is wonderful if you don't have the time to shower or if you're just too tired. I kept a towel next to the bed when we tried it and just wiped it off afterward and went right to bed. It does leave a very slight residue, but it isn't sticky or slippery. By morning, any residue had just absorbed into my skin.

I love that this lube is suitable for many activities, that it's long lasting, and that the cleanup is so easy!

Maximus comes in a simple pump bottle with the nozzle turned so that it is closed. Over the nozzle is a sticker to keep it from popping up. Written on the sticker is a warning not to use the lube if the sticker has been tampered with. That's it -- simple as it gets. There are no instructions included.

The packaging is not discreet, as the bottle states very clearly that this product is a "sensual" lubricant.

The bottle itself is clear and has somewhat of a Roman theme. Pictured on the bottle are a Roman-style column and vase.

This could be used for travel if you're willing to push the pump down to turn and lock the nozzle to keep it from leaking. I haven't tried this because I didn't want to waste any lube.

Also, while this bottle can't initially be opened with one hand, once the nozzle is released, the pump can easily be operated with one hand.

I love this lube and see it being a staple in our bedroom for a long time to come!
