Maximus is a water-based lifeform...I mean, lube...from the makers of Liquid Silk. It has a nice viscous consistency that is compatible with anal play, and won't degrade your toys or condoms. It can be used in any orifice except maybe your mouth; it has a slightly bittersweet taste, somewhat like that of love itself.

Like every water-based lube I've ever employed, it does tend to get tacky and gummy as it dries. Whatever! It can be brought back to life with a couple drops of water or saliva. It stays wetter longer than regular water-based lubes, and despite the fact that it's a bit costly, it's an investment worth making since "a drop will do ya," and you don't have to reapply as often during marathon sessions. If you're concerned about the price, it comes in 50ml bottles, in addition to the large 250ml pump top bottle.

Maximus is easy to wash off your body; it doesn't leave any slug slime residue, nor is this stuff going to stain your sheets like silicone lube, which is a boon when you're getting funky in the guest bed.

The Ancient Greek design is pure class. It's very inconspicuous. I personally don't want friends or family stumbling upon a bottle of Jack Off Juice Extra Thick Hole Grease laying around my house.

The transparent bottle is practical in the sense that it allows you to determine how much is left, unlike certain lubes in opaque tubes that you have to fumble around trying to find, only to be let down in the heat of passion, when, after squeezing mightily, you find the tube is empty. Don't let this buzz- and boner- killing scenario happen to you!

If you have sensitive skin, hop on down to your local sex shop and see if you can test it on your forearm. I've heard whispered tales of rashes and burning from certain lubes applied to reactive individuals, so it's always a good idea to make sure no adverse effects occur before you buy a whole bunch of any lube.

Maximus has a long shelf-life, four years according to the expiration date, and even longer if you're nasty.

I can't use silicone lube with my silicone diaphragm, so a good quality water-based lube is imperative! Maximus definitely meets my expectations.

On the downside, Maximus does parabens, but I heard it through the grapevine that they're working on a paraben-free version. Keep on the lookout!

Thanks for sharing, paraben free would be great. I never thought about how people with diaphragms couldn't use certain lubes. Learn something new.
