Maximus review

Nice bottle, one hand operation, calibrated pump that's non-leaking, thick gel that goes a long way.

I didn't notice any negatives to associate with Maximus.
I purchased Maximus based upon the many positive reviews I read. This is my second brand of lube. The first was so non-memorable I can't even remember it's name. It was thin, turned gooey, and went so fast it was a waste of money. Maximus on the other hand definitely lived up to it's reputation. First of all, the packaging is dead on. Clear bottle with a clear label that looks cool on a night table. The pump action is well calibrated and a short pump gives a small amount of gel type lubricant which goes a long way. No excess lubricant to be wasted. The pump is easily a one hand operation and the short squat bottle is easy to set down without tipping over. Additionally, the contents will not run out if the bottle should happen to be left lying on it's side or stored on it's side in a drawer.
I am not a frequent user of lubricants but I purchased Maximus to have some on hand and to use with a masturbation sleeve and some toys I had just purchased. Getting ready to try out our new sleeve, I put some Maximus on my hard-on and my wife proceeded to make sure my cock was well lubed. As frequent receiver of memorable hand-jobs, I was completely surprised by the slipperiness of Maximus. It was so good that I really wanted to forget the sleeve and keep the hand-job. I know most people absolutely love this lube, but when I try to use it, it feels like my genitals are on fire! Could it be due to the parabens? Any thoughts, or any recommendations for another thicker water-based lubricant?

I'm not sure if it's kosher to mention a competitor's product here, but BabeLube is a wonderful water-based lube that's comparable in thickness to Maximus.

Is Maximus as Great as The Reviews Say?

Two negative things I've seen written are that it has a bitter aftertaste and it does peel off, dry, and need to be washed off.
Positives and opposites I've heard are that it has a natural tasteless feel similar to saliva, and it is a thicker lubricant. Also the pump looks like a great feature that makes this product less messy.
I would like to try it for myself, and wonder if it is really the go-to lube for me, and for others like me. -
This is my favorite water-based lube, hands down and without a doubt. It's pretty thick (ideal for backdoor fun). I've fallen asleep with it on my hands and don't wake up with fuzzy or sticky palms (until they get wet, then it reactivates).

Does Maximus come in any other size bottles? I feel like 8 oz. would be a lot for me to use before it goes bad. Also, it seems like a big bottle to store somewhere discrete.

It really isn't very big - I have mine it a bedside drawer. Maximus is so thick that you don't have to worry about it leaking unless you really press on the bottle. If my mind isn't playing tricks on me, the bottle is about 2-3/4" in diameter and 4-1/2 to 5 inches tall (including pump), and I think it's closer to 4.5
I think mine's good to 2013 or something (I'm not at home now, but I can check later), so I wouldn't worry about it going bad -

I definitely agree with you, a little drop of Maximus goes a long way. I've had my bottle about 3 weeks and after using it multiple times every day, I can barely see a dent in the amount of lube in the bottle. This stuff is a good bargain considering it takes so little to have such a good ride.
How well does the pump top travel, without getting lube all over everything?
My bottle travels fine. All you do is push it down and twist. It locks the cap to prevent accidental spillage .
You'll waste a bit of lube doing it but if you do it just before you play it works.
I agree with your review, it's definitely worth the money and I actually find it competitively priced.
As far as traveling with pump tops... I've never had luck with closing them the way they allow for- pushing the top down and turning. I just wrap some plastic wrap around the open tip and then entire cap, and that does a good job.
Cock, I used to have that problem. I actually remove the top, put the nozzle inside the bottle and press the pump.. all the lube that's in the straw get shot back into the bottle and I'm able to lock the pump into place relatively mess-free.
