Maximus, I Love You!

Maximus is awesome! I love this lube and own several bottles myself. I recommend this lube to anyone. Just don't lick it, yuck.

Use

Maximus lubricant is an excellent lube for anyone and just about any occasion. It is water-based so it's safe for toys and condoms. Its thick consistency makes it excellent for anal and still thin enough for toy play or regular vaginal use.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Maximus only comes in one size with a convenient pump bottle for easy dispensing. The lube is thick enough to stay where you put it and easy to spread where you need it. I have not had any greasy or sticky messes, but it does stay in place and lasts long enough. You may need to use clean wipes or wipe it off with a washcloth. It also cleans off toys easily with wipes or water and your favorite cleaner.

Taste / Aroma

With Maximus, I did not notice any smell whatsoever. However, the taste it leaves in your mouth is quite unpleasant. I would not use this lube for oral, so it's best to stick strictly to anal and vaginal when using it.

Performance

This is one of the best lubes I have used in a while. I love that it lasts for a long time; I hardly ever have to reapply with this lube. I did have to wipe Maximus off, but it comes off easily. I use baby wipes and they get it all off with no problem. If you spill this lube on your sheets it will wipe up pretty easy, and I have not noticed any visible stains from spills. I do want you to be aware there are parabens in Maximus. I personally have no problems with parabens, but it may pose an allergy concern for those sensitive to them.

Packaging

Maximus does not come in any packaging, just the bottle itself wrapped in a few plastic baggies. Mine did not leak and even after opening have not had any leaks. Maximus is travel friendly as the pump twists down and locks in place.

I still like this lube for play and yes, it still tastes yucky. My husband and I have found several lubes we prefer for together time, but this is our go to lube for solo play.

    • I know most people absolutely love this lube, but when I try to use it, it feels like my genitals are on fire! Could it be due to the parabens? Any thoughts, or any recommendations for another thicker water-based lubricant?
    • I'm not sure if it's kosher to mention a competitor's product here, but BabeLube is a wonderful water-based lube that's comparable in thickness to Maximus.
    • Maximus is my go-to lube. I have very sensitive skin and have never had a problem with it.

    • Two negative things I've seen written are that it has a bitter aftertaste and it does peel off, dry, and need to be washed off.

      Positives and opposites I've heard are that it has a natural tasteless feel similar to saliva, and it is a thicker lubricant. Also the pump looks like a great feature that makes this product less messy.

      I would like to try it for myself, and wonder if it is really the go-to lube for me, and for others like me.
    • This is my favorite water-based lube, hands down and without a doubt. It's pretty thick (ideal for backdoor fun). I've fallen asleep with it on my hands and don't wake up with fuzzy or sticky palms (until they get wet, then it reactivates).

      Maximus is my go to lube, rarely use anything else. It is slightly bitter but not bothersome. It is thicker and also works very well for anal. I never feel the need to wash it off unless I overdue in the heat of passion.

    • Does Maximus come in any other size bottles? I feel like 8 oz. would be a lot for me to use before it goes bad. Also, it seems like a big bottle to store somewhere discrete.
    • It really isn't very big - I have mine it a bedside drawer. Maximus is so thick that you don't have to worry about it leaking unless you really press on the bottle. If my mind isn't playing tricks on me, the bottle is about 2-3/4" in diameter and 4-1/2 to 5 inches tall (including pump), and I think it's closer to 4.5

      I think mine's good to 2013 or something (I'm not at home now, but I can check later), so I wouldn't worry about it going bad
