Maximus to the rescue! The lube that goes and goes.

Maximus is a top-notch lube for everything. It is smooth, not sticky, long lasting, and easy to clean up. If you are a beginner to anal, try this lube out. Maximus is one of the best lubes.

Use

Maximus is a fantastic all-around lube. Anyone can use this product. With its pump top, water-based formula, and thick (but not sticky) consistency, Maximus is something you can truly love. It's thick, so it doesn't get everywhere, but it is super easy to wash off. We keep this on the nightstand, and it is used for just about anything you can think of (although the taste is not so great, so I would not use it for oral). I know it says Anal Lube, but don't be frightened off by that; this is for everything. When you find a lube like this one, don't let it out of your sight. This lube is great for beginners. If you want to try out anal, use this lube.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Maximus has a thick consistency, but it is, surprisingly, not sticky. It is great because when you put it on, it actually stays on and doesn't slide right off. My husband loves this because other lubes are so thin that they just run everywhere and make a mess. Maximus is great: it stays on where you put it. I love the smooth consistency. It washes off very easily as well. When you are trying to have fun, there is nothing better than a good lube that lasts more than a minute.

Taste / Aroma

There is no aroma to Maximus, which is great. Some lubes have a strange smell, but not Maximus. The downside is that the taste is not so great though. This is not a lube I would recommend for oral; it has a bitter taste. The taste is not pleasant, so avoid it.

Performance

Maximus is a long-lasting product -- I love it! You don't need to keep reapplying over and over, as with other lubricants. It is so nice not to have to stop when you change positions to add a little more lube. Everyone knows that's the last thing you want to do when in the middle of a little action. What is great is that Maximus is pretty easy to clean off as well. My husband did not need more than a wet washcloth to clean up. This is one lube where a shower is not necessary for cleanup, unless you want to hop in for a little more fun. I love the fact that it is not messy and that cleanup is a breeze.

Packaging

Maximus comes in a clear bottle with a pump top. The packaging is just a plastic covering over the bottle, but the bottle details are nice and simple. The instructions are pretty self-explanatory, clear, and to-the-point. The packaging is discreet, although I am not sure how great the bottle would be for travel. I am not one for trusting lotions or anything in a pump top in my suitcase.

Follow-up commentary
Still a great thick lube for anything, but great for anal. If you need something that will stand the test of time, this is a great option.

Next time, you might want to include some info on the ingredients!

On the editing side of things, there were grammatical errors in this. "THAN" not "THEN" repetitively.

    • I know most people absolutely love this lube, but when I try to use it, it feels like my genitals are on fire! Could it be due to the parabens? Any thoughts, or any recommendations for another thicker water-based lubricant?
    • I'm not sure if it's kosher to mention a competitor's product here, but BabeLube is a wonderful water-based lube that's comparable in thickness to Maximus.
    • Maximus is my go-to lube. I have very sensitive skin and have never had a problem with it.

    • Two negative things I've seen written are that it has a bitter aftertaste and it does peel off, dry, and need to be washed off.

      Positives and opposites I've heard are that it has a natural tasteless feel similar to saliva, and it is a thicker lubricant. Also the pump looks like a great feature that makes this product less messy.

      I would like to try it for myself, and wonder if it is really the go-to lube for me, and for others like me.
    • This is my favorite water-based lube, hands down and without a doubt. It's pretty thick (ideal for backdoor fun). I've fallen asleep with it on my hands and don't wake up with fuzzy or sticky palms (until they get wet, then it reactivates).

      Maximus is my go to lube, rarely use anything else. It is slightly bitter but not bothersome. It is thicker and also works very well for anal. I never feel the need to wash it off unless I overdue in the heat of passion.

    • Does Maximus come in any other size bottles? I feel like 8 oz. would be a lot for me to use before it goes bad. Also, it seems like a big bottle to store somewhere discrete.
    • It really isn't very big - I have mine it a bedside drawer. Maximus is so thick that you don't have to worry about it leaking unless you really press on the bottle. If my mind isn't playing tricks on me, the bottle is about 2-3/4" in diameter and 4-1/2 to 5 inches tall (including pump), and I think it's closer to 4.5

      I think mine's good to 2013 or something (I'm not at home now, but I can check later), so I wouldn't worry about it going bad
