Maximus - lubricant by Bodywise Limited - review by Ganderson

Maximus by Bodywise Limited is a fairly multi-purpose water-based lubricant in an 8.45 Fl. Oz pump bottle. It is for both men and women in solo and partner/group use, and designed to make things easier for getting inside. So whether you are going to use toys or a penis, this lube should do the trick to add lubrication for a smoother experience. It is safe with pretty much any toy on the market, including silicone toys. I did some research into the ingredients in the product and found that it is glycerin free. From what I understand a lot of people have allergies to this ingredient. But I did also learn there are parabens inside of this product; please be aware of this as some people have reactions to these as well. I would recommend a test spot be done on your skin and also the toys you are going to use this with to see if there are going to be any problems. You can use Maximus for basically everything sexual related: a jack off lube, anal lube, vaginal lube, or in aiding the use of toys. I would imagine because it's water based that it is not good to use in a wet/water environment like a shower.

Highly Purified Water, Propylene Glycol Cellulose Polymer, Di Sodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben.

I personally find Maximus to be a thick, gel like lube that does not thin or run very easily. It is somewhat sticky between your fingers but generally spreads out. It absorbs moderately but not extremely fast; using it as a jack off lube, I find it gets tacky after a while (usually when I am done). I haven't experienced any burning sensations or discomfort with this product. Water will re-activate the lube, and washing off in the shower will easily remove any residue from the skin. This is a very useful anal lube, but if you feel burning then it's most likely a reaction and you should stop using it. The pump easily dispenses the lube, but sometimes collects and leaves lube that dries at the tip. I think this lube feels great, makes things very slippery wet and fun.

I honestly do not want to taste a lube of this nature; it will probably make me feel sick. There is not much aroma involved, putting the lube up to my nose, it smells like a highly watered down light chemical smell. During jacking off and anal play, I do not sense any unpleasant smell or odors.

I found this to perform very well as a lube; many years ago I used K-Y lube and found it absolutely gross and disgusting. Maximus comes highly rated by many and it did not disappoint in my case. With anal use, it made entry of toys a breeze, much easier then not using any lube at all. I did not feel any burning sensations and the lube was cool to the touch at first, but quickly warmed up. During anal use with a toy, the lube mixed with bodily fluids and started to thin out and want to run easier. A quick wipe with a paper towel solves that issue. As a jack off lube it makes the experience much nicer and pleasurable, but by the time I come the lube becomes sticky and tacky. A quick rinse off (or using Eden Wipes) solves this issue. I found absorption rate to be moderate, I did not need to reapply unless for extended use.

I don't find this bottle discreet, if you left it out anywhere people would know exactly what it is. The pump cap is a super nice feature that makes it so much easier to use, rather than a push cap that leaks. It is a good size bottle that goes far and it is easily recyclable. I don't see this as suitable for travel, the pump will dispense lube if it is pressed. If you must travel with it, put it in a zip lock bag or transfer some lube to a small sealing container. It does come with a best before date; from what I understand the ingredients start to break down after so long. It has a list of ingredients and company information on the bottle also.
