Maximus - lubricant by Bodywise Limited - review by Amanda(Secret)

Maximus is a sensual water based lubricant that is created by Bodywise Limited. It can be used vaginally, anally, with sex toys, and/or masturbation. Maximus is L-Arginine free and Glycerin free so it does offer a safer form of lubrication. Maximus is universal and anyone can use it; men, women, couples, beginners, and advanced users. The best use that I have found for Maximus is for lubrication during sex with my partner. It mimics 'spit'. Maximus adds a little extra glide to sex, opposed to spitting on each other to get things wet.

Maximus does contain Parabens. If you are sensitive to Parabens I do not recommend this lube for you. I do not recommend Maximus for oral sex.

Ingredients: Highly Purified Water, Propylene Glycol Cellulose Polymer, Di Sodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben.

Maximus looks and feels like saliva or spit. It is a thick and gooey lubricant. Or if you have ever tore open a piece of an Aloe plant, the texture is identical. It rubs on thick so very little is needed. If feels just like being spit on after it is applied. The texture of Maximus seems more natural because it does feel just like saliva. Maximus is not greasy like oil based lubricants.

The smell of Maximus reminds me of a perfume bar soap. The scent is not overwhelming, just noticeable. The taste of Maximus is not appealing at all. It feels also like licking a bar of soap. I do not recommend this for oral sex. I do like the smell. It adds a nice perfumed scent to sex rather than the 'sex' smell.

One pump of Maximus is enough for us during sex. We apply one pump to our hand and then apply it to either his penis or my vagina. We have used it vaginally and anally. It provides a slick surface to get things started. We have not needed to reapply any extra. It lasted long enough to provide frictionless thrusting until our own juices began flowing. We never play the same amount of time. Sometimes we have sex for 5 minutes and other times it is 2 hours. We primarily use Maximus just to get started, so we never reapply it. If you need more moisture you can reapply it.

Clean up is not required. But when I use Maximus with sex toys it tends to flake up as it dries and leaves my genital area feeling sticky. I then have little white blobs that stick to me. I have to go wash off as soon I am finished playing. Maximus is not a lubricant I prefer for masturbation because of this. I stick to a lubricant that rubs in rather than flaking.

I do like it for sex. It beats spitting on each other. Maximus is a natural feeling lubricant. Maximus is water based and is compatible with all sex toys.

Maximus is packaged in a clear, translucent plastic bottle with black lettering. Weight- 8.45 ounces. It is very affordable in size and price. The bottle has a locking pump for dispensing. The thickness of the lube comes out nicely and it doesn't dispense too fast. The bottle looks discreet. It does read "sensual lubricant," but looks more like a bottle of hand soap. The bottle includes ingredients on the back. There is also manufacture information and website information. The bottle does not leak at all. I have placed it in a drawer sideways and nothing has poured out.

The label is a stick on and can be removed to make the bottle more discreet.

Mimics saliva and provides a natural feel.

Maximus is not a lube that I love. I do like it because it feels like saliva and provides a more natural lubrication for sex. It does not last long enough for hand jobs, doesn't taste well for oral sex, and dries flaky and becomes sticky. I don't like that I have to clean up right after using it. I recommend for those who want to add a slick surface to sex either vaginally or anally. I recommend using another product for other activities. If you prefer something natural this is the lube for you, but I personally didn't care for it other than for sex. I am taking a star away because I think there are better water based lubricants that do not become as flaky and sticky as Maximus does. Also it can be used for anything, but other lubricants have a better performance.

Maximus is great for anyone on a budget. It is only $15.88 and has a weight of 8.45 ounces. Our bottle of Maximus lasted about 7 months. We use lubricant a lot and Maximus did go a long way.
