A great little plug for a great price
This is a toy all anal players should have. Easy to clean, stays in place and just feels good. If it was bigger it would be my favorite toy.Published: September 22, 2008
Pros:
Silicone, stays in place feels great. And can wear for long periods of time.
Cons:
Not big enough or long enough.
I was looking for a new plug to push me to the next level and The Ryder is that perfect toy. It is small and comes in array of color. Made from pure silicone so you can boil it, dish washer or bleach.
I open up the box and notice the great box it came in, just made couldn't wait. I took it out, lube up and slide it in. It is amazingly easy to get in but it will not go any where. That firm bass makes it stay in place. I have pushed down and tried but it will not move. What's nice is the feeling of walking around and enjoying it just being in you.
My only problem with this great toy, not big enough. I am a big guy and I love the feeling of full and length. Which this toy does not have either. I love to use this bad boy for a warm up myself. I does do the job of stimulating but just wish it was bigger. I will plug it in and then go watch tv or something like that. It's nice cause it will not slide in like some toys I have had.
Getting it out can be a little tricky. It creates a good suction on it and well just be careful. Clean up is a breeze. Since it's just a plug and has no bells or whistles on it. I use a before and after toy spray on it then boil it for three minutes a couple times a month. One reason I bought it was for the material. I would recommend boiling if you are planning on sharing or a condom. Better to be happy and safe right?
Over all, this is a great toy, worth the price and I think when you get more into anal like I have. You will keep it for warm up or simple ones. If you don't have this toy, you are missing out.

I just love popping it in and not having to worry about it. Enjoying walking and simple feelings like that is amazing.

Can we get more toys in Copper?

The Ryder in Copper is so pretty. I'd love to see more toys offered in this colour. :) Is that likely to happen at all? I haven't seen it on any other listing. Is this colour discontinued?

Is this colour discontinued?Yes, it sure has been discontinued. It was weird - Copper was a slow seller, and we got some feedback from retailers that it wasn't at all popular. Then when we discontinued last Spring it got snapped up pretty quickly. I only have closeouts left, but we're hoping that by discontinuing Copper we'll have more time in the production schedule to pursue other colors.

Some, not all silicone lube will 'stick' to silicone material. I have read that some premium silicone lubes will work with some premium silicone materials. You can try some on the base and see, when I last tried it kinda etched the silicone material. (does that make sense) It left a indentation were the lube was.
That's the basics, Some of the other members can give a more technical answer. -
Some silicone lubes will bond to some silicones. This seems to be more of an issue the softer the silicone is, so toys like O2 and VixSkin will be more susceptible (makes sense, as the silicone has fewer crosslinks). Quality lubes seem to have less of a problem also, and it is likely that cheaper silicones might have more of a problem.
I have tested quality silicone lube on several quality silicone toys and did not notice a permanent problem, but (a) the toys developed "hives" that lasted for a few hours (was gone the next day) and (b) it's really hard to clean the silicone lube off of the toys, but it can be done. While this is purely subjective, but it seemed that the silicone lube wasn't as "lubey" on silicone toys. I don't use silicone lube on silicone toys anymore - it's just not worth the trouble.

That's funny. Two of the toys that I want to purchase are out of stock as well. The Vixen Ryder and Johnny. Then I noticed that several Vixen products are out of stock at the moment. I wonder when all of these toys will be restocked.

Thank you for viewing Ryder – butt plug review page!
I love this toy as well. It isn't the biggest one out there, but I think it has the best base of any plug I have tried out. If you want something bigger, check out the Tulip Plug Royal or Happy Valley's Fun Guy. Thanks for the review.
I never thought I would be into long term wear with a butt plug, but I gotta say, the Ryder is changing my mind about it fast. Glad you enjoyed it, even if it is on the small side. Nice review, and I'm looking forward to the next ones ;)
