Anal starter - anal toy by Doc Johnson - review by RWN

When I received the email for my new toy, I was a little excited to get something actually shaped like a penis; all my other toys had fun or interesting shapes, but none of them looked remotely like a real penis.

Once my new toy arrived in the mail, I excitedly took it to a place where I could open it. I was rather surprised by the large box when the description had said the toy would be rather small. I opened the box to find most of the size was due more to the protective packaging, and the product was indeed quite small.

I opened the plastic and examined the item. It is firm in the middle but still pretty soft, which makes it very flexible. The only down side to the flexibility is you have to hold it rather high on the shaft to get it to go in; once it's in though, it feels just right. It is small enough (about the circumference of three fingers but more rounded) that penetration is neither uncomfortable nor awkward; it just slides right in like it belongs.

This toy is a dust, lint, hair, and anything else that floats through the air magnet; everything sticks to it and will somehow find a way to get on it. Cleaning it is easy; keeping it clean is pretty difficult; though I found if you return it to the original plastic package, keeping it clean is rather easy.

The Anal Starter has a kind of suction cup bottom, though that's not really what it was designed for. On hard, smooth surfaces, it sticks mildly well, which makes it easier for hands free play. It has a slightly rubbery smell to it, like an older kind of bath toy, but it's not really an unpleasant smell, and it's not really too strong. Though it's a little small to be able to feel all the intricate details of this toy, you can still see them and feel them with your fingers. It seems to give it a little more character in my opinion, even if I can't feel them once they're inside me.

The biggest downside I noticed is that the flared base is even more flexible than the rest of the shaft. If someone was playing alone or without their hands and pushed too far, the base would probably fold up and follow the rest of the toy.

All in all, I think this is an excellent product for beginners and a good product for intermediates looking for that sort of bridge toy that warms you up for the next thing. I really like the Anal Starter a lot, and I give it four out of five stars only because it could stand to be a little stiffer in the middle and the base could be a bit safer if it was harder.
