There are a couple different uses for the anal starter. You can use it for anal penetration and also vaginal penetration. Although it should be washed between switching where it is. If you plan to use it for both I recommend using a condom. If you don't use anything or wash it inbetween switching, it can cause an infection. The anal starter is best for beginners looking to experiment with anal sex. Experienced people may find the size of the dildo and the flare to be to small. When using this you should use caution not to insert the flare because it could get stuck. You can use this toy anytime and anywhere.

The Anal Starter is made out of PVC, it ranks a 2 on the safety scale. It is latex free and phthalates free. It is a soft squishy toy. It looks like a thick purple penis but does not feel real because it is very soft and flimsy. The texture is great for everyone. It feels like the rubber fishing lures. It does smell, and to me it actually smells like a fishing lure or a brand new plastic shower curtain. The head is smaller in proportion to the shaft and it looks like it is kind of pointed as well. The shaft has veins along the top and sides. For me the veined texture did not add to the stimulation.

I like the design because unlike many other toys used for anal penetration it is not intimidating. Its small size makes it look not so scary. It is 6 1/2 inches long (5 inches are insertable) and 1 inch around. The base is 1 1/2 inches and does not stay suctioned to anything very well. It could not be used with a harness because of how small the base is, it would fall out to easily so using your hand would work best. The small head of the anal starter makes it easier to get in, and the indent between the base of the shaft and the flare makes it stay in better. I feel the size is perfect for beginners and people who don't have anal sex often. Even though the shape makes it look realistic the color makes it stand out and defines it as being a toy. It is small enough to be able to hide it easily as well as makes it very travel friendly.

It did exactly what an anal toy should do and that is go in your ass! I do believe it is best for beginners but beware that you should use lots of lube and another toy to help stimulate you else where. When using it stays in very well. As for using lots of lube I say this because it dried up easily. I tried water and silicone based lubes with it, and I feel the silicone based worked better.I think it is a good amount of squishy and flexibility because it makes it a little easier to get in and not so uncomfortable. It is a great starting point for people who want to have more anal sex and work up to your partners penis or other bigger toys.

PVC toys should be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap or you may also use a toy cleaner of any brand. You can use the packaging it came in to store it after it is dry. Or if you wanted something smaller to store it in you can use a plastic baggie or a toy storage box. It is safe to store next to other toys. It is compatible with both water and silicone based lubes.

The Anal Starter came in an plastic package that can also be used to store it in. The package had no instructions or anything about cleaning it.It would not be good to use as a gift box. If you give the anal starter as a gift it should be wrapped or placed in a gift bag.

In my opinion it does not feel as small as it looks. I had to leave it in place for about 10 to 15 minutes before I tried thrusting it and even then it hurt a little. When I took it back out it hurt as well, and when trying to insert it again it hurt even more! I believe it hurt for 2 reasons, #1 I have not done anything anal for awhile and #2 I did not use enough lube. It is something you can use with a partner but remember LOTS of lube.
