Use

Translated to: The restrainer for your tight lust chamber. The front of the Plug der Lust actually says that and I had to laugh. But does it live up to that phrase? I'd say so, but only if you really do have a tight lust chamber, and luckily I do. Ya know, I KNEW this was small. I saw tons of reviews on it from other contributors saying they were shocked how small and STILL I was still shocked too. You would think I was prepared ha. Apparently not.

This plug is small and is for anal play. It doesn't have to be for a beginner in order to provide pleasure though. I loved it and I am no novice to anal play. The silicone makes it awesome for sharing and longevity and the price cannot be beat. If you don't like it, sterilize it and give it to someone who will! The end is flared so you can use it for extended wear, but not necessarily out and about because there is a ring on the end. If you a male looking to find a plug to stimulate your p-spot this one will likely not be large enough or long enough to reach quite that far but it will still stimulate the ass nicely and is a good intro warm up for larger probes.

Material / Texture

The plug is made of 100% silicone! I cannot believe that it is so affordable. Maybe it is due to the size. It is so so SO smooth-one of the smoothest silicones I have touched to be honest. It is firm yet extremely flexible. The ring at the end of the plug is stretchy as well and the plug bends at the neck as well as having some give in the shape. This is pretty much a fool proof plug. You don't have to be afraid of hurting yourself at all. The material doesn't collect dust and lint easily and had no smell or taste. It does retain smells of lubricant though, which I found weird that it didn't retain other smells. I used an organic lubricant that has an earthy smell and after washing it lingered a bit.

Design / Shape / Size

The shape of Plug der Lust is like a baby nookie...yes, a baby pacifier. I was so tempted to pop in my mouth like a ring pop! The length of the entire thing is 3 3/4". This is how it breaks down:

1 1/4" is the ring
~1 3/4" is the insertable part of the plug
~3/4 is the stem

The tip of the plug is a small 1" in circumference and get thickest at 3 1/4". The stem is much smaller at 2" so it will stay in securely. The base is also 4" in circumference so you don't have to worry about it getting sucked in unless you practice gaping frequently. The shape is why the size works so well. It also makes it discreet and the opaque white color makes it not stand out either.

Performance

Like I said earlier, just because this is great for beginners experimenting with anal play, doesn't mean it won't pleasure the more advanced too. I love this plug! It slide in smoothly with not a lot of lubricant being needed. It stayed put more so than I thought it would and felt great. I loved using it with another toy and reaching behind me to apply pressure the plug. It stimulates the first and second sphincter of the anus just enough to heighten my orgasms. It worked well during sex also. It only slipped out once! It stayed put more than my larger plugs. I was amazed! It works great in doggie style. My guy likes to put his finger in the loop and use it to apply pressure. It is too small for him to feel while inside though.

It isn't possible to thrust this plug because of it's size, but it does feel nice being popped in and out. I don't think is long enough to reach most men's p-spots, but it will still stimulate the area for later anal play. It is also too small to do any good in the vaginal region. Removable is made easy with the retrieval ring. The ring makes it look silly under think lingerie but can be worn under a form fitted pair of jeans and panties and be undetectable if you can fold the ring correctly.

Care and Maintenance

This is like the easiest toy to clean ever! No crevices to worry about or material problems. You can boil it or pop it in a dish washer on the top shelf. If you aren't sharing a simple soap and hot water will do. You may want to wash twice if you chose to do the last option because of the smell retention I explained earlier. Store in the little plastic package it comes in or just a zip lock baggie.

The packaging is not discreet. The front of the small plastic package (although must larger than the tiny toy) has a nude picture of a German looking girl...emphasis on girl. The back has very little information about the product, but does have it in a few different languages. This product is made in Flensberg, Germany.

Personal comments

I'm kind of anal, pun intended...about my ass hole. I don't like large things in it, especially frequently or for long period of time because anal queens of porn gross me out with their abused butt holes. Just because you engage in anal gaping or large toy play doesn't mean that you have lost muscle control in your anus. BUT, if you have and find that your ass swallows toys with ease, do not buy this. Applying pressure to the end of the toy would most likely get it lost in you. Use with caution in these cases.

It would be so cool if they had a glow in the dark version, or different colors! I am giving this plug 5 stars because of the price, material, shape, comfort, and ease of cleaning.

Follow-up commentary
I still really like the Plug of Lust small but it doesn't do the trick anymore. It is best for warming back up to anal play after a period of non play. It was perfect for that, but now I want more. I am going to get the Plug of Lust large which looks more like the size of my regular toys. I recommend this to beginners still but for the more advanced, I suggest you get it only if you want to use it as a re-warm up back into anal play. I'll continually go back to this when I need to get back into the swing of things.

      Tantus Little Flirt (seems too long for my comfort)

      Tantus Ripple (the last bead is too thick in diameter and it also is too long for me to fully insert comfortably)

      FunFactory Bootie (the bulged head makes it very painful to insert, even going slowly and gently, and I find it too filling to wear comfortably for long, once it is in)

      I am very sad that I am not "progressing" in anal play. Are there any smaller butt plugs out there to help me ease into using -- and hopefully even enjoying -- my *beginner* plugs so that I can eventually work up to trying anal sex?

    • At that price, the Plug of Lust is tough to beat. If price is not an object, then I might go for the Fun Factory Bootie instead because I think the base is better for long term wear. Another consideration if price were no object would be the Bob pleasure object.
