Mostly Left Lusting

This is a great toy for a beginner, but you might want to keep the short space in consideration. I do love the velvety texture of the silicone and would recommend it to others, but since it didn't work for us, I have to give it 3 stars.

Use

This petite plug is great for beginning anal players. It's made of a great material, is very non-threatening, and is fairly inexpensive. I truly think that once you surpass the point of being a beginner, however, the lure of this plug will quickly fade and will leave the player feeling unfulfilled. Because it has a nice, small base, you could wear this for an extended time and not feel like you were sitting on a big base.

Material / Texture

The Plug of Lust is made from body-safe silicone which is nonporous. It is extremely smooth and velvety to the touch. It's mostly firm, but is still a little plush. The smooth texture, when lubed, makes insertion very easy. There was no smell when I opened it from the package.

Design / Shape / Size

The Plug of Lust looks a lot like an over-sized pacifier with the bulb and the wider, circular base. The bulb is shaped like a tear, with a very small point on the end, which is very nonthreatening. The small shape is nice for beginners, but as mentioned before, once you breach the beginning level of anal play, this toy might leave a bit to be desired. The whole thing is very small, so it is easy to take with you anywhere you go. It would pack well into a suitcase, a purse, or even a pocket. It's not shaped like traditional plugs and is so small that you could hide it easily. Just remember where you left it because it's so small you could easily misplace it!

Performance

I think the best aspects of this toy are that it's so beginner-friendly. There is no texture that is overly tantalizing or much to it to manipulate, so it simply was left in. The only problem I see in how this functions is that there's not a lot of space between the bottom of the bulb and the base, so it gets uncomfortable quickly. Since this takes no batteries, you could use this without anyone even knowing.

Care and Maintenance

This plug is made of silicone so it is great for sharing. It can be washed with toy cleaner and warm water for general cleaning and then boiled or sprayed down with a 10% bleach solution for sterilizing if you wish to share. Since it is silicone, only water-based lubes are recommended for this toy. We don't want oozing toys now, do we? It will pick up lint so you will want to at least rinse it before use. I keep this in the drawer-o-toys.

Personal comments

This was purchased because both My Mr and I are not overly experienced in the world of anal play. I wish I had gotten something a little longer and bigger in the plug part with a longer and thinner space between the plug and the base. This also was not long enough to hit My Mr's p-spot, which for him, is the primary goal of anal play. Still hunting for a plug to make anal play great that both My Mr and I can use.

Experience

I am a true beginner to anal play so I think this was a good choice for me but I'm still not sold on anal play in general. The few times that I used this toy, I was uncomfortable and it killed the sexual high I was on. As much as I want to like anal play, and as small as this is, I am lead to believe that it's just not for me.

My Mr, however, is new to plugs, but not to anal play in general. We find that this toy is just not what he's looking for in a plug. It doesn't reach his p-spot and the space is not long enough for him to leave it in for any length of time.

    • I am completely new to anal play. Well, at least I am almost completely new: I have been attempting to get started for a couple of weeks now since my husband has expressed interest in trying anal sex.

      Sadly, however, I have had a difficult time using what many reviewers have deemed as the perfect beginner's butt plug. It seems as though I need something even smaller than the following, all of which I have tried and find either very difficult to insert and/or too uncomfortable to wear for even a short period of time (and, yes, I do use a thick anal lube and try to insert gently and slowly):

      Tantus Little Flirt (seems too long for my comfort)

      Tantus Ripple (the last bead is too thick in diameter and it also is too long for me to fully insert comfortably)

      FunFactory Bootie (the bulged head makes it very painful to insert, even going slowly and gently, and I find it too filling to wear comfortably for long, once it is in)

      I am very sad that I am not "progressing" in anal play. Are there any smaller butt plugs out there to help me ease into using -- and hopefully even enjoying -- my *beginner* plugs so that I can eventually work up to trying anal sex?

      Ironically, my husband has also just started to experiment with anal play to massage his prostate and he has even been able to use our Nexus G-rider with no problem. I don't understand why I am still stuck at the *pre-beginner* stage!

    • At that price, the Plug of Lust is tough to beat. If price is not an object, then I might go for the Fun Factory Bootie instead because I think the base is better for long term wear. Another consideration if price were no object would be the Bob pleasure object.
