I very much enjoy this toy for anal penetration. Randy fills the gap most dildo leave: most toys that are thick enough to provide that full sensation are simply too long to be comfortable for me. However, Randy is perfect, since he has a great width (about 2 3/16") and a relatively modest length (about 5 1/2" insertable). For me this means I can comfortably take Randy all the way to the base (which is large and very secure for anal use) without the weird, uncomfortable feeling of a too-long dildo poking you internally.

As a Vixen toy, Randy is made from high-quality silicone. It has no odor. The texture is a semi-gloss, which is quite slick when lubed with a quality water-based lube; however, matte finishes tend to be a bit easier to lube, since the lube spreads easier. With the finish on this toy, the lube tends to bead up right after application. Once inserted, though, the material stays quite slick.

Randy is fairly firm, but still flexible enough to bend somewhat while inserted. However it is plenty stiff to make insertion simple, it doesn't require a second hand to help guide in. I haven't tried Randy yet as a harness attachment, but I would imagine the rigidity would make control of the toy easy.

As I mention earlier, Randy is a fairly large toy (diameter of 2 3/16" according Vixen). However, it is short enough to be quite comfortable when inserting all the way to the base. There is something about being able to take a toy all the way to the base that is extremely satisfying, and with Randy's length, this is doable without pain. I do think it's prudent to mention that this toy should be worked up to. Its diameter is fairly large, and even though I would consider myself an advanced user, I still warm up with a couple of smaller toys prior to playing with this one.

Aside from size, there are two other structural features that make Randy stand out. First, the semi-realistic head is very smooth, not sharp like some toys; this makes it much more pleasant to insert and remove. However, the head is still prominent enough to enhance the sensation and make me gasp when I first get past it upon inserting. The other structural feature I really like is the significant curve. This curve allows Randy to be used in two ways. One, with the head curving towards the belly button, the curve pushes up against the prostate and is great for slow stroking. Alternatively, the curve can be turned 180 degrees (facing backward) which provides more of a gliding stimulation (rather than directly poking into the prostate). In this configuration, Randy is great for using with a partner on top, since your motion can also be used to drive Randy in and out. The large base adds extra stability for use in this position.

For anal play, Randy is one of my favorites. It's the second-largest dildo I have (in terms of diameter), but is so comfortable and pleasurable that it comes out of the box about every time I play, whether solo or with my partner. As mentioned earlier, the large base of the toy makes it extremely secure and can even be used hands-free with lying down on the bed with a partner on top.

I love pure-silicone toys. While it is a shame that they are not silicone-lube compatible, they do extremely well with staying slick while used with a good water-based lube. The best part, however, is the ease of clean up. I usually just throw Randy in the dishwasher on the regular cycle; it comes out perfectly clean and ready to go back in the box till the next time I play. Alternatively, I have boiled Randy in a pot on the stove for about 5 minutes to thoroughly disinfect the toy.

Randy came packaged in a clear tube that opens on either end. Vixen recommends storing Randy in this tube to keep its shape, however, I prefer just to store him standing up with my other toys in a small box that sits on my nightstand. The packaging covered everything important about caring for the toy.

My partner, says that she think Randy is the ultimate toy for me, since it's the one that I always work up to and the one I usually finish with. We're getting a harness soon, and she's excited to strap Randy on and have her way with me.
