Like the other pieces in the Icicles line, the Icicles no. 8 is a wonderful example of the beauty and wonder of borosilicate glass. It is suitable for vaginal penetration. It is also suitable for anal penetration if you are very careful. However, this toy lacks a flared base and care should be taken if one intends to use this toy anally.

Vaginally, this toy may be too small for most users to get pleasure from it. Anally, (again, only when used carefully) this toy is suitable for most individuals and provides nice stimulation due to the shape of the surface. This product can also be used for temperature play by heating or cooling the surface. Whether in bed, in the shower, or anywhere in between, there is no wrong time to use this toy.

Care must be taken when thrusting vigorously with this toy. It is glass and therefore has no give or flex. So in order to avoid internal bruising, I recommend keeping a moderate pace or being careful if going all-out.

Thanks to the fact that this toy is glass, it lacks any noticeable taste or smell. If your glass toy has a taste or smell, chances are it needs a good cleaning. This is not a realistic toy but is instead, more whimsical in design. The surface is what can only be described as smoothly waved, having multiple wide and narrow points, this provides a very interesting expanding and contracting sensation with little to no drag when in use. This toy is also very rigid and firm which provides an unrelenting sensation. I would recommend this toy for all users from beginners to advanced. Not to mention, it's completely non-porous and body-safe. You really can't go wrong with this toy.

I absolutely love the design of this piece. As an anal toy, the surface shape provides a very unique stimulation, giving the sensation of multiple successive penetrations. This toy has an insertable length of around 6" and a diameter of around 1-1.5", depending on the point along the length. It is a good size for (careful) anal play, but I believe it may be too small for most average users to enjoy vaginally. However, it may make a good g-spot toy if angled properly. This toy is not realistic. If anything, it's more of a whimsical art piece than a sex toy. The surface is iridescent with a blue spiral swirling through the core from base to tip. It's absolutely beautiful. I do believe that this toy is relatively discreet due to its non-phallic nature and would, to many, simply look like an art piece.

You can't go wrong with the shape of this toy, nor with the firmness. It is a nice hard toy for when one wants nice strong stimulation with little to no give. It is great for (careful) anal play. Thanks to the nature of glass, a little lube goes a long way and gives a gliding sensation that silicone can not hope to match. The only problem is that I wish it were a slight bit bigger, perhaps 1 1/4" instead of 1" in diameter, and maybe an inch longer. This toy is neither harness compatible nor suction cup compatible. It is by nature an exclusively manually operated toy.

Borosilicate glass toys are remarkably easy to take care of. Simply wash with toy cleaner or antibacterial soap and water. If you wish to sterilize your glass toy, it can be placed in the top rack of a dishwasher, wiped down with a 10% bleach solution, or boiled for five minutes.

I recommend storing it in its original box as it is nicely padded with a form-fitting foam cut-out that cradles the toy. However, it is also possible to store it in a padded toy storage bag. Do not store this toy in a non-padded storage container as this may cause the toy to crack or chip.

Borosilicate glass, such as the Icicles number 8, is compatible with all lubes. This includes water-, silicone-, and oil-based lubes. It is also worth mentioning that you won't need much lube with a glass toy as a little bit goes quite a long way.

The Icicles number 8 comes in an elegant cardboard box. The front of the box features a dramatic-looking picture of the toy itself. There is a front flap through which you can view the toy itself through a sheet of plastic. The back of the box features a basic description about the toy itself, describing it as a "personal massager." The box works wonderfully as a storage box because it cradles this toy perfectly by keeping it safe from cracks and chips. For glass toy aficionados, this may work well as a gift box as it presents nicely and is very decorative.
