LAYAspot - clitoral stimulator by Fun Factory - review by Tigger & Kanga

The LAYAspot is small and gorgeous and absolutely great for clitoral stimulation. Some of my favorite places to use my LAYAspot are in bed on a cold winters day with a good book, in the evening for some nice relaxation while hubby is away, or for a quickie in the shower! I love the fact that it is waterproof and I can use it in the shower. I have not tried it in the bath as of yet...

It can be used during sex with your partner and in a way can act as a massager. I have even used it as a hands-free clitoral vibrator with a little help of some underwear to keep it in place.

This is a wonderfully versatile vibrator.

The LAYAspot is made of a smooth, silky Elastomed, which is a body-safe, skin-friendly material that is odourless and durable. It is also easy to clean. The overall construction is firm, but the elastomed really feels great when pressed against my sensitive bits, even with a vertical hood and labia peircings. When lubed, this vibe glides beautifully over your skin.

I love the simple curved design of the LAYAspot.It fits into the palm of my hand beautifully and the controls are easy to use,
even when hidden under clothing. The overall size is about the same as a mini iPod (+/- 10cm long and 4 cm at its widest part.)The design is non-threatening and does not look like it is a sex toy. The curve of the toy is designed to fit the shape of a women when placed snuggly on your vulva. The petite, ergonomically-shaped toy ensures that stimulation is delivered right where you want it; the clitoris, labia and even the perineum when the placement of the LAYAspot is adjusted. The LAYAspot fits me perfectly and really delivers the buzz exactly where I need it to get off.

The LAYAspot's controls are located on the top of the toy. They are marked with grooved + or - signs, that are easy to find and opperate.

They are easy to distinguish from each other by feel - the plus button is close to the top of the toy and is larger than the minus which is further back and pops out more - this is great for when you are really into the moment!

The LAYAspot packs a punch despite its size, and the selection of vibrations is pretty much all one needs. I usually start at about mid-power and work my way up to max vibration. The greater the vibration the better; the lower vibration levels do little for me. There are 8 vibration levels which are a standard buzz, that gets more intense with each press of the plus button. Press and hold the plus button for a second or two and you move into the pre-determined patterns, of which there are three; a slow escalation, faster escalation and a fast pulse.

I find that the vibrations are more intense at the top of the toy(where the controls are) than down by the battery cap. However they can be felt all over the toy itslef. The more intense top section is great for clitoral stimulation.

The vibrations are not a high pitched whine, but a medium rumble; think more massager and less mosquito, The noise levels are not that loud, so you could use it with your parents in the room next door, as long as you keep the sounds of your orgasm down!

We tend to use the additional functions more in partner play than when in solo use. The pulsing is my favorite.

We have used the LAYAspot in a local club quite succesfully on more than one occcasion, and while we waited till we were inside, the vibration noise is really discreet.

The LAYAspot takes two AAA batteries which are easy to insert; just unscrew the end cap. While the cap closes tightly and is splashproof, this toy is not waterproof.

The LAYAspot is very easy to keep clean, as it is made from non-porous material. I normally just wash it with soap and warm water under the tap, with the cap closed tightly. Once dry, I unscrew the cap and wipe out the threads with a dry cloth.

The Elastomed that the LAYAspot is made from is safe with most lubes, even silicone lube, which is recommended by the manufacturers website. We use a water based lubricaant with this toy, with great success.

You will usually find my LAYAspot stored under my pillow or hidden amongst my lingerie, close at hand!

The LAYAspot is packaged in Fun Factory standard box packaging with magnetic flaps. While it is not the most attractive box, it clearly displays the product and the magnetic flaps are a nice touch.

The packaging and included pamphlet clearly explain how to use the product, how the batteries are inserted, and pretty much all you need to know about the toy.

While you could use the box to store the toy in it just makes getting to it tedious. If you use it often you will, like me, end up throwing it away. My preferred method of storage is in a small pouch.

I purchased this toy on the advice of a sales lady at one of the more upmarket toy stores in our town. She told us (my husband was with me at the time) that this would be the best clitoral vibrator I would ever try... and boy was she right! I have tried a few other bullet vibes but none have given me the satisfaction that the LAYAspot does. I was a bit skeptical, especially at the price, but we purchased it and I have never regretted it.

Initially I was unsure abot the LAYAspot due to the price tag but I have enjoyed the spot in so many different places, from the bedroom to the shower and out in public. The versatility of this toy, ease of travelling and sheer bliss it delivers has ensured that it remains close at hand.

We recently purchased the 'Better Than Chocolate' but it is not as easy to use, nor does it deliver the same pointed bang of the LayaSpot, so 'Better Than Chocolate' is great, but LAYAspot is always spot on.
