The LAYAspot by Fun Factory is one toy my wife was super excited to receive. She saw it on the site and the amount of colors looked great to her. We finally chose the violet one after much deliberation on her part. We were super excited to receive this, but realized we didn't have AAA batteries once it arrived. By the next day I had batteries and we were ready to go.

The LAYAspot arrives like other Fun Factory products, in a cardboard box that has a clear plastic on it so that you can see the toy. If you're giving this as a gift at a bachelorette, it is great. It is not ideal for storage and we threw the box away. A sample of lubricant from Fun Factory is included in the box as well, which is nice. There is no storage bag or anything like that included.

The toy itself does require AAA batteries and is latex and Phthalate free. The batteries are inserted at the bottom of the toy, which has a screw off cap. I remove the batteries when we are done with play to preserve battery life and have not had a problem inserting or removing batteries yet. It has some give to the toy, but is not bendable or such. The LAYAspot is designed to fit over the pubic bone so that it stimulates the clitoris and the vaginal lips at the same time. Because of the contour of my wife's pubic bone, the LAYAspot will not hold on my wife's body as it does for others. That was disappointing but not the end of the world as we have just used it as a "normal" vibrator otherwise, stimulating either her clitoris or vaginal lips.

There are two buttons on the top of the toy and it is shaped so that you can hold it easily. There is a "+" and a "-" button on the toy, pretty self-explanatory right? Press and hold the + button to turn the toy on and hold or press the + to increase vibration level. It is a toy that offers a lot of variety with 8 different vibration levels for you to cycle through. At the highest vibration level, if you hold the + button again, you can cycle through 3 separate pulsation patterns. By pressing the - button you can cycle back through the patterns. My wife likes this feature a lot. With so many other toys you have to cycle through every level/pattern again if you find one you liked but clicked over. Here, this goes right back to the previous level which she likes. To turn the toy off you continue to press the - button until you reach the lowest setting and then hold the - button again to turn the toy off. We do wish that there was a button to turn the toy on and off, but it is not difficult to turn this off pretty quickly. Just make sure the toddler/child/roommate is asleep before you pull it out, because it does take a few moments to cycle back down to turn it off. We found that out the hard way, trust me.

There are 8 vibration levels, but they are all pretty subtle. Even at the highest level, this is not as powerful as some of the other toys that we have in our collection and my wife found that she wanted a little more power from it to achieve orgasm. Also the vibrations occur at the widest part of the toy but carry through the whole thing. She prefers a more focused vibration, especially on her clitoris.

It's easy to clean the LAYAspot. Soap and water, antibacterial cleaner or wipes are all perfect for cleaning this. We usually use a toy wipe and clean up is done very quickly. Since it isn't made from silicone, you can use both water-based and silicone-based lubricants. We store this in my wife's lingerie drawer with some of her other toys. Very easy to travel with as well, because of its petite size.

We like this toy a lot and use it quite often. My wife prefers this when she wants a subtle sexual experience since the vibrations aren't enough to fully bring her off. We also use this when we engage in teasing play. She will get very close to orgasm but this doesn't have quite enough power to push her over the edge so it is perfect when we are engaging in that type of play. Overall, it's a great toy and very cute.

We still enjoy this toy a lot. The subtle vibrations are good for when my wife is wanting to draw things out sexually. The Vroom power is not enough for people who really enjoy strong vibrations, but it is a nice toy to change things up for us.
