Spot-on for beginners
This is a phenomenal toy for anyone who is new to clitoral vibrators. It's well-made, durable, hypoallergenic and extremely user-friendly.Published: August 12, 2009
Pros:
Ergonomic shape, hypoallergenic materials, quiet vibrations.
Cons:
Button placement, stronger vibrations.
The LAYAspot is a wonderful clitoral stimulator for newer vibe users. It is ergonomic both in terms of manual and vaginal placement. The toy is easy to use in the palm of your hand, and cups the mound of the vagina nicely, allowing sensations to ripple through the entire area. It can also be used with rather pleasant results along the curves of the inner thighs. The design is (naturally) not well-suited for penetration or anal play.
When I bought this toy, a friend insisted that the curve of the LAYA would feel like a tongue, thus simulating the feeling of oral sex. That is definitely not the case, as LAYA doesn't flicker like a tongue at all. It's simply flattened to cover the entire clitoral area - which is especially useful if you're new to masturbation, or have variable sensitivity. But if you like the full pressure of a chin or nose against you during oral, LAYA's design can definitely help with that.
The vibrations are far from overpowering, but "high" was more than enough to get me there - multiple times! Cycling through the different speed/stimulus options has never been appealing to me, but there are definitely lots of settings to choose from if you like a wide variety. It's easy to move from setting to setting, too, as the buttons are literally at your fingertips. I also like that there are both + and - buttons, so you don't have to cycle through each setting to get back to the one you liked, as with many other toys. Be careful, though! More than once I've lost an orgasm by accidentally pushing a button at the wrong moment.
LAYA is one of the more discreet vibrators I've enjoyed. It is relatively quiet, even on its strongest setting. And, since it isn't shaped like a penis, this vibrator is much less obvious than a lot of toys. I've accidentally left it out and had someone walk past it without ever knowing what it was.
The material is smooth but generally firm, which is optimal for pressure against the clitoris. LAYA also has virtually no smell and is definitely hypoallergenic--it didn't irritate my rather sensitive skin. Cleaning is definitely not a problem, though be sure to do so right after play.
LAYA was dependable enough for daily play and lasted several years. All in all, a great clitoral vibrator for a beginner or something looking to add a novel shape to their collection.

Both were really well tho and the music seting is fun feature!

RadRachSo my partner and i decided to check out this site and order a bunch of new items. I just ordered the LAYAspot and it should be here friday! Ehh i cant wait! How does everyone feel about this cute toy? -
reading the MANY many reviews on the toy will give you a good idea about the overall feelings and consensus of the toys.

it's nice that there are so many user submitted reviews on this site. it's so hard to choose a toy, especially an expensive one, with only the manufacturer description.

LayaSpot Questions
-
So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.
Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?
Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).
Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?
Just looking for different experiences with these things.. -

I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.I've heard that fun factory toys can stink to high heaven, and I have no idea why they would because they're supposed to be 100% silicone. I have other silicone toys and they don't smell at all. Maybe it's not the toy itself but the packaging that surrounds it? Sorry I'm not much help, but the smell that people talk about with FF toys is enough for me to be wary of buying one.

I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.I have since pitched my instructions, but I think mine said splashproof rather than waterproof. I got the Toyfluid (water-based) lube, and mine was smell-free! All of my FF toys have been totally odorless, actually.
