Sweet and simple - won't rock your world, but great little vibe nonetheless.

In short, the LAYAspot is very much worth your money. It's exciting and has a variety of modes to keep you entertained, and is excellent value for such a quality product.

Use

Well, I tend to love Fun Factory’s toys anyway. They are obscenely colourful and fun to look at, and they don't look like sex toys, so you can leave them lying around with relatively little embarrassment - I've mistaken a friend's buttplug for an ornament before! Not only that, but they are generally a great line which are both cheap and good quality - and LAYAspot is no exception.

So, about this toy specifically. It has multi-speed vibration and three pulsation modes which pack in a mean bit of excitement. It's made of bodysafe plastics, suitable for latex-allergy sufferers and compatible with even silicone lubricant. You can use it alone, or with a partner - the neat shape allows you to nestle it between two bodies to get some clitoral stimulation during penetration. It requires a good push on the buttons to get it to switch on so you're unlikely to end up with a buzzing suitcase, and it's even splashproof allowing for a bit of shower fun, though submerging it wouldn't be wise.

In all, the LAYAspot is a great toy for beginners and seasoned toy-lovers alike. My only criticisms would be that it uses batteries rather than being rechargable - I'd love to see a Click'n'Charge version of it - and that you have to move to the highest vibration speed in order to reach the pulsation modes, which can be too much for some people.

Material / Texture

The elastomer is scent-free, and it's nice and hard meaning the vibrations aren't absorbed as some softer vibrators do - this is how it packs such a punch.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The shape of the LAYAspot is just right for you to either lay on your front on top of the vibrator, or for you to rest it on your clitoris with just a hand to guide it to your sweetest spots. And, of course, you can place it between you and your partner for some clitoral stimulation as you have sex.
    • Ergonomic
    • Whimsical / artistic

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are mostly located at the broader end of the vibrator, with the buttons at the other end. This can make for some difficult handling, but does allow you to tip it upside down and use the end that doesn't vibrate to stimulate yourself should the vibration of the broad end be too much (for example, just after orgasm). It is rather loud, but can be easily muffled with a pillow between it and the air.
    • Multiple settings
    • Not very discreet
    • Strong patterns

Care and Maintenance

The toy is very easy to care for; as it is splashproof, you can clean it with a soft cloth and warm water after use, or a sex toy cleaner if you prefer. Elastomed is suitable for use with silicone and water based lubricants - especially the one provided by FunFactory.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

not sure but we have the Laya and the better than chocolate ( the music ed) both have their good points, but the laya is a little smaller and compact. Both were really well tho and the music seting is fun feature!

So my partner and i decided to check out this site and order a bunch of new items. I just ordered the LAYAspot and it should be here friday! Ehh i cant wait! How does everyone feel about this cute toy?
    • reading the MANY many reviews on the toy will give you a good idea about the overall feelings and consensus of the toys.
    • it's nice that there are so many user submitted reviews on this site. it's so hard to choose a toy, especially an expensive one, with only the manufacturer description.

  • LayaSpot Questions
    • So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.

Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?

Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).

Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?

Just looking for different experiences with these things..

I've heard that fun factory toys can stink to high heaven, and I have no idea why they would because they're supposed to be 100% silicone. I have other silicone toys and they don't smell at all. Maybe it's not the toy itself but the packaging that surrounds it? Sorry I'm not much help, but the smell that people talk about with FF toys is enough for me to be wary of buying one.

I have since pitched my instructions, but I think mine said splashproof rather than waterproof. I got the Toyfluid (water-based) lube, and mine was smell-free! All of my FF toys have been totally odorless, actually.
