The Cure for Soreness and Aches!

This is probably my favorite Eden product so far. It's perfect for when I'm tired and sore or just plain horny. I love to use it on myself and my partner, and I will probably never develop a tolerance for it so the low settings are perfect for me. I use this at least once a week, and I probably will for a very long time.

Pros:
range of power, feels like a massage, easy to use, no clean-up, replacement pads available
Cons:
Have to use all 4 pads, pads only last for a few uses

Use

The Fetish Fantasy Series Shock Therapy Kit by Pipedream is a dream come true for me.

When I bought this, I actually got it without foreplay in mind. I have a terrible back that causes me all kinds of daily pain, so I figured this might be a great tool to have around when the man doesn't feel like giving me yet *another* massage. Turns out, I was right on the nose. It's easy to use, affordable, has cheap replacement pads, and has a wide range of stimulation that would fit almost anyone's needs. I would warn against using it if you're extremely sensitive to massage though, because that's how it feels. The shocks resemble a deep tissue massage because they stimulate the muscles. If you're very sensitive, even the lowest setting might be a bit much. Sometimes I can see my muscles twitch involuntarily when I use it! Anyone who has a pacemaker also shouldn't use this, because the electricity can interfere with the signal and cause the pacemaker to fail. For safety reasons, it is recommended that you use the unit for no more than 15 minutes at a time. Since you will be playing with electricity, it's better to be safe than sorry! I like to take a little break, since it can be tiresome to have my muscles worked by the machine. After the 15 minutes is up, the machine is automatically set to shut off. This setting can be changed, but I like it because it gives me a little break period. If I know I'm going to use it again in a little while, I just detach the lead wire from the pads and leave them on, so I can just snap and go later.

Personally, I have never used the unit beyond the low setting. Sometimes I kick it up a notch, but never for long. With the different modes I have enough variety that I don't have to hurt myself to get a nice muscle stimulation.

The 3 Modes are as follows:
Tap: a nice throbbing that promotes good circulation and is good for light foreplay
Modulation: a longer setting that feels like a combination of taps and kneading; like a light massage
Kneading: this one is the deep tissue stimulator; works wonders on sore muscles

Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit

The design itself is pretty genius in its simplicity. There's the controller, the bi-polar lead wire and the 4 sticky pads with little connectors for the wire. All you have to do is peel the pads off of the plastic protectors, attach them to the wire and plug it into the controller. You can get about 10 uses out of the pads, but they have to be placed carefully because removing and re-sticking will make them less durable. As they wear down, the unit itself becomes less safe. The danger of the electronic stimulation becomes more serious if the pads are worn or damaged. They must be sticky and placed evenly on clean, dry, shaven skin for maximum comfort and minimal danger.

The only thing that bothers me about the Shock Therapy Kit is that you can't use it unless all 4 pads are sufficiently stuck on. I wish I could just use one sometimes, and save the other pads for when the one I'm using wears down, but the unit won't turn on if only one is applied.
    • Fits comfortably
    • Will fit most people

Performance

The unit itself is ridiculously impressive. I tend to keep it on the lower settings, but the range of power is very large. I turn it up a little more for my man, as he has more willpower than me, but we shy away from the very highest settings. I love to switch from pulsing to modulation, and play with it when he's wearing the pads. It's nice to know that it can make both of us squirm and still relieve me from my back pain.
    • Comfortable during use

Care and Maintenance

After use, the pads must be restuck to the plastic sheet protectors to keep them sticky. I keep my unit stored in the plastic shell and box that it came in. Since we don't use lube or anything with this, there hasn't been a real need for clean up, and we like to keep it far away from water.
    • Easy to store

Personal comments

Once the stickiness of the pads wears off, you'll have to replace them. For your convenience, Eden carries a set of replacement pads, with 12 in all. Since the original kit only comes with 4, I would suggest buying them together as a bundle. I'm already getting ready to buy new pads and I've only had my kit for a month. It's definitely a good investment.

Experience

There really is nothing else like Electro-stimulation. It feels like a massage, but more sharp. It can knead the most tender or sore muscles. It can turn you on to use it on yourself or a partner, and it definitely has enough power to bring you to your knees. I am so in love with it, and you will be too.

  • Shock Therapy Questions from a beginner
    • I never thought I'd order this, but curiousity has killed the cat.

      My questions:
I have several piercings. Is it okay to leave them in during use as long as I don't put the pads on the metal?

I've read some things that say that you shouldn't do them on your nipples. I don't know a lot about electricity, but I'm wondering if it's safe to use it on one nipple at a time and if the warnings come when you are just using one on each nipple, or is hte chest area not safe at all?

Any advice, or fun things I should try (hot spots, etc.) would be appreciated!

Anyone? It should be here in a couple of days, and I'm really anxious to try it out.... but I've never used one before so I want to make sure that I'm covering all of the obvious things that I might not think of.

I don't know the answers to your questions but I was curious about the product so I read some of the reviews. I think some of your answers are in the reviews. Looks like you have to have all four pads attached for it to work. Not sure about the piercing safety. Good luck and have fun. I'm not sure I would be brave enough to try it ;O

  • Little person with flashing parts on the Shock Therapy Kit
    • I was quite perplexed by what this did, as different parts of the person would flash but there weren't any instructions about it.

I e-mailed their customer service and they told me that the little person on the LED is a design flaw and that they never actually developed the function that they were going to use it for.

Just in case any of you out there were wondering. :P

      Heck, Miss Debauchery,

Right now, that's about the ONLY part of MY unit that IS working!

GEESH!!! I just posted a 1-star review based on what appears to be a DOA unit. But I REALLY want to discover it's "operator error" on my part. So any tips you may provide would be MOST appreciated. (Perhaps I could even "service your needs," whatever they may be [weg], at some point?!?)

  • Fetish Fantasy Series Shock therapy kit Question...
    • I just got this delivered today and am MAJORLY digging it! Though I have to ask, just how safe is this toy on genitals (both penises and vaginas :P) and highly sensitive spots (nipples, butt cheeks, etc etc)? I know there are different shocky items available via Pipedream elsewhere (like the cock cage or probe) but I worry about frying nerve endings and other scary stuff :S

I've wondered the same thing. The instructions don't tell you not to and I'm sure the box wouldn't have them placed where they are if you couldn't do that. All it says is not to use it anywhere internal. I think in the adult video review on the page, it is actually put in some sensitive spots. I'm not brave enough to try it yet.

I'd say that if you wanted to try it, start it off on the lowest intensity. I can barely feel that one on most of my body.
    • I guess it depends on the intensity and what your comfort level is.

  • Adhesive
    • I'm slightly sensitive to adhesive, especially the kind found on band-aids. Does anyone know how the adhesive on these pads compares to band-aids (like is it stronger or weaker than that on a band-aid)?
    • Sounds like a good question to post here.

I'm very sensitive to adhesives too, this would be interesting to find out.
    • Its pretty strong id be weary

It was a tickling sensation, I am not into the pain fullness of things either, and it is by far not a painful thing, but the higher you crank it the more you will get so I guess for some it could get painful

  • Shocking!
    • What are the best parts of the body to use this one, and why? Also what are your personal favorites?
    • Quote: What are the best parts of the body to use this one, and why? Also what are your personal favorites?
In the sexual realm, we tried several areas such as breasts including nipple area. If the nipples are EXTREMELY sensitive, I advise to avoid that area directly and work on the area surrounding them. Inner thighs are also very good places to explore with this as is the bottom of the buttocks. For muscle massage instead of using for sexual stimulation play, any muscle area is good but I would avoid facial areas. Always start on the very lowest settings and increase slowly. If anyone has a history of medical problems relating to heart or seizures, I advise speaking with their doctor first as a normal precaution.
    • Great video!

Does anyone know if this is less intense than the neonwand? I am having a difficult time talking my friend into trying the wand, and thought maybe this would be more her style.
