Shockingly confusing

It needs more instructions and warning labels, but it's still a good product if you know what you're doing. It's a bit pricey with the replacement pads.

I bought this a while back and it really didn't come with any instructions, or major warnings which it really should have. It took me a good amount of time to figure out just how to turn it on and even then, it was confusing. I took me even more time after that to figure out how to change the levels and speeds and all that good stuff. Really, by the time I figured it out enough, I needed new pads and have yet to invest in that due to replacement pads being close to the price of the entire thing! All the pads must be placed on your skin and I believe it's a safety precaution built in, but it really should have said that somewhere, as well as mentioning it won't start up until a few minutes after warming up on the skin.

Do to the lack of warnings and my being a beginner, I made the mistake of putting two on myself and two on who is now my ex-partner. It was terrible and had I known that was a no no, I would have never done it. The electric currents went through both of us and after a minute, as soon as I touched him, I got a strong shock and tried to jump away as soon as possible, but it left for an embarrassing moment. I wouldn't say this is a bad product, but it should really come with more instructions!

With the replacement pads, you get a set of 12 for 20 bucks which is OK, but a bit pricey when you think about how often you're wanting to use this toy. That's 3 replacements for 20 bucks and unless you were to keep them pretty clean, that's 3~6 sessions because they are a jelly-like, sticky pad that attaches to your skin, so it's almost impossible to keep it from getting dirty.

I an shocked that there weren't better instructions for this! (I couldn't resist the play on words, sorry.) I think the replacement pad cost is ridiculous and am glad you mention it in your review, as that would definitely affect my decision to purchase this! Thanks for the review, even if you ended up being the guinea pig. I appreciate you sharing your experience so others don't have to make the same mistakes!
