I wouldn't exactly say this product is meant for beginners. When you get into the genre of using electric shocks during play, I would think that you would probably already be farther into a BDSM type lifestyle. Though I wouldn't say a beginner SHOULDN'T use this, just use caution and follow the directions.

This shock therapy is a little controller with 4 electrode pads connected to it. It's battery operated and has the ability to be used on more than one person at a time.

The pads will lose their stickiness over time, but they do have replacements, so long as you take care of them they will last quite a while.

I have used tens units before and that is what this is like. I was very suprised at the punch this product packs. It works as good as the more expensive units I've used in the past and it has the special ability of being able to be used on 2 people at once.

The only downfall was trying to get it to work the first time, I tried just two of four pads. No juice! Why? You have to have all 4 pads attached in order for it to work.

The shock that goes through can be a mild sting to a bit of a kick, nothing too bad though.

The electrode pads on this product do need to be cleaned after use. Using a gentle toy cleaner on them before putting them away does the trick! Easy to store in the box it came in.

The picture shown for this product is it's package. It has a place for the unit and the pads inside. This makes it a great place to keep everything stored. There are instructions included, be sure to read all of them before using!

I have tried to use this item like a real tens unit for relief of pain. Does it work for this? YES! A great big YES! It's probably more mild than a medical unit, and I don't recommend using it for medical purposes unless you have used one for such before, BUT it's great for relaxing muscles at a low setting. The instructions include the different ways to use this for massage as well!

The best thing about this, is that you can use it on more than one person at a time, or in two different places on one person. This is fun for us as we usually involve other people in our "play time". My partner can hook it up to me and a friend and "torture" both of us at once!
